Sorry for the inconvenience.
The TV in your bedroom is not compatible. I am showing it to be a DTA. You would need to upgrade your cable box in order to have this feature available in your bedroom.
For your computer can you check and make sure your PC is compatible if so I would suggest installing and reinstalling the universal caller id to TV client.
The UCID client is available at http://xfinity.com/callerid/.

The caller id for a mac must be installed in an administrators account. Unfortunately, I seperate my Admin account from my user accounts which means the software will not work in the user accounts.
I have tried modifying the applications permissions but nothing seems to work. Comcast needs to fix this.

I'm also having the problem of the new Caller ID not work on my MacBook pro. I saw that they updated the application recently, but that didn't solve the problem. i even erased the application and downloaded a "new" application, but that didn't change anything. The application shows up in my Apple's dock, but when I try to open the applicationto see the settings, it apparently opens off of the screen. When I click on my computer's F3 buttom to see all of the open windows, it does show up as "open", but has a blue border around the dialog box and won't let me click on any of the features within the dialog box.
Anyone else having this problem?

The caller ID will not work on a Mac that is configured with a seperate Administration and user accounts. Changing permissions will change the situation. This is a comcast developer problem. The caller id works just fine in my admin account but for security purposes I do not generally log into that account.
This is a comcast problem. No if thans or doubts about it.
