On Demand - Comedy Central HD - Free with Subscription

Tried to view a Comedy Central "Daily Show" episode "On Demand" and was greeted with a "Buy" option.

My service includes Comedy Central HD and I used to be able to watch old episodes of the Comedy Central shows offered in HD.  I can still watch them for free in standard def.

Really strange because other network HD "On Demand" listed shows are operating normally (no need to Buy them).  Just Comedy Central.

I thought maybe the Viacom thing was spilling over but a MTV HD On Demand show fired up for free.

I chatted with a support person who set up a trouble ticket for me.   Not sure what they can do.  Strange.

The same thing just happened to me except for I couldn't use Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. .  Friday 07/20/2012 worked fine, but on Saturday 07/21/2012 it was asking to buy subscription's.

that is going to be a coding issue on your account that only comcast can fix by calling them.  try to unplug the box also to reset and see if that does anything.

Re: On Demand - Comedy Central HAD - Free with Subscription

I'm not thinking unplugging the box wouldn't really do anything - I have three HD boxes and every one of them greets me with the BUY option.

For grins I accepted the offer and hit "BUY" whereupon it responded with an message to call and report ERR-36895.

So I called.  And the service rep asked me to unplug the box to retrieve the magic e-Lixer.

As if that would really work.

That only two shows out of many selections I've made (and I've watched these selections before) - that would be one mighty fine chunk of data base bits... but I could be wrong.

Maybe I should have a technician visit - but I'm not thinking I'd want to pay for that privilege.
