I've been buying ppvs in the Scranton PA area for some time. It shocks me that for the past 2 years these events have been broadcast in HD but not offered to us. We as customers pay upwards of $50.00 per ppv and yet Comcast does not give us the option of viewing these events in HD. What is beyond belief is the day after, exactly 24 hours later the ppv is usually offered via the on demand service in HD quality.  I have sit back and waited and have been given the usual "Comcast is constanly reevaluating its channel options" line. I say no more! ALL satellite companies and ALL neighboring cable companies offer ppv events in HD quality. I tired of waiting for comcast to catch up to surrounding competitors. The sad part is I enjoy Comcast cable, but i'm done waiting. The biggest UFC ppv ever is this saturday and comcast will get their money from me for the standard broadcast because it's too late to change companies. But, this Monday I make the call to a different company. A company that offers me the ability to receive a ppv that I pay an additional $50.00 for in the fullest quality that is offered. Any clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I'm in the same boat - everytime I call in - oh it's coming or oh they are thinking about adding it - The did send me a letter one time saying thanks for calling in about hd-ppv so who knows. I have yet to see anything from them - unreal - I always have to drive FURTHER away out of the cities to a friends house to watch it on charter hd-ppv.

I was actually thinking of ordering WWE Summerslam this Sunday, but when I was looking through the channel listings I did not see an HD listing anywhere. That lead me here. It's quite unfortunate Comcast still doesnt offer HD PPV. I guess I will go to the bar and watch it instead.

I am a Comcast subscriber for years in the Chicago area and purchased WWE SummerSlam yesterday and was very surprised to learn that it was not available in HD.  This is especially annoying to me when you consider how much Comcast charges vs. some of the other TV providers in the area.  As the thread starter pointed out, we pay $40 to $50 for these PPVs and to not be able to get them in HD when the WWE itself advertises that they are in HD makes me a very unsatisfied customer. 

PLUS, the standard def feed that Comcast DOES give you for the PPV is of terrible quality!  It's much worse than the standard def feeds you see for the other wrestling programs on USA or SYFY.  If you aren't giving us the HD feed, at least give a standard def feed that is decent.

This annoys me to no end. I pay extra for an HD box and HD package. I pay about $50 for a WWE PPV and I can't watch it in HD. Here's what really burns my biscuits, when the WWE PPV starts, in big bold letters across the screen it says "WWE presented in HD"....but I'm watching it in standard definition. The quality, I may add, is next to garbage. It's been like this for 3 years. I think it's time to start shopping at Dish and Direct TV.
