I am getting a 802 Error code when trying to log into Xfinity for 360, Says to log in with primary account Xfinity account... but i only use one log in anyways so it is primary.. I also subscribe to Xfinity TV (basic) and Xfinity internet.
There is a rumor that i need to have my cable box hooked up to make this work as well ? (mine is currently disconnected from the lines and unplugged in a closet)

You need to have at least one set top box with Xfinity On Demand connected to a TV in your home for this to work.
Please reconnect the box and try again.

Have the same problem. I have HD On Demand, xfinity internet, Xbox gold, Xbox app and I am logged in with the only primary account. Any help? Thanks....
Can you private message me your comcast.net e-mail address? Also, are you a Residential Comcast Internet customer?
To private message:
At the top of each Forum page you will see a small white envelope
This is the icon for Private Messages, referred to as ‘PM’s’. A Private Message is a way to communicate in private, to another User, Moderator, or Administrator out of public viewing the Forums.
The white envelope turns to yellow when you receive a PM.
To open a PM to read it, double click on the yellow envelope. If you click on the white envelope a window will open with tabs for your Private Message Inbox, Sent Messages, Friends, Ignored Users, and Compose new Message. You can also access this area by clicking on the Username in a Thread or post. By default, Private Messages are enabled. You can disable this feature in My Settings>Preferences> Private Messenger. (thanks to CCCarole for this tutorial)

any ideas of when this is getting fixed? im also getting error Code 802
03-28-2012 08:50 PM
Just did that. Several times. Doesn't work.
This whole setup is a HUGE joke. Not to mention I've been picked up and dropped on the comcast line SEVERAL times now. And there is only ONE account so that is the primary one.
Has anyone ACTUALLY gotten this app to work yet?

I'm getting error 802 as well.

I'm also getting Error Code 802. I have a Tivo Series 3 with two S-cards (w/ Xfinity digital cable and internet).
Nowhere in the FAQ does it say I exclusively have to have a set top attached to the TV. A cable card should suffice.
So why won't this work?
Between this failing and the fact Comcast won't allow HBO Go to run via the Xbox, even though I can run the HBO app on my iPhone over my home wireless network (which is Comcast), is... uh... annoying to the Nth degree, to put it politely.

I am also getting an error code 802. I am the primary and only user on my account and am signed in to Comcast.com as I type. I have a HD digital box hooked up to the same tv and it is working.

Yeah I cannot get this thing to work... I have 2 boxes, both with on demand I have comcast high speed internet, I have xbox gold, I have xfinity app, I only have one login to xfinity so it is the primary account I have done everything that has been said to do... I think comcast has come up with a FAIL!!!

Same problem here. I meet all the requirements and have only one user name registered on the account. Still getting the 802 error.

Just an update. They have ahd time to change the text for the Code 802 to say that I am trying to login with a secondary account.
This is ridiculous though. I can't believe Xfinity/Comcast released this with it's obvious faults. It's like they didn't even beta test it. Seriously. Whoever was in charge fo this department needs to be fired. Not to mention customer service has been down right pathetic.
But your PRIMARY account IS your registered Email unless you have changed it. There is only ONE email to my Xfinity account. And it STILL isn't working. You can get your "primary username" but when I attempt to use it in place of the email I am told the username/password is wrong. Which neither is. But when I try the email I am told it's not the primary account.
No wonder Fios is doing so well for themselves.

Can you private message me the log-in you are using.

As reading the messages before, I am hoping Comcast will fix the Xfinity TV app for the Xbox 360 really soon. My son is having the same issues of error "code 802" when using my primary account to login. Our family currently has all the required services including the main HD DVR box in the family room.

I am also having a Code 802
I hope comcast fixes it
Any suggestions on what I should do???

Having the same issue.

The collective group over at Comcast/Xfinity is a joke. I've called several times. And been given the same story. I get it. It's a new app. But there's no excuse for it to have THIS many bugs. I'm trying both what SHOULD be my primary (the same login information I use to access all my other information such as Xfinity Online and my billing info). And I am also trying what is being listed as my "primary" login after you sign into the xfinity page.
The Xfinity App doesn't even acknowledge what is listed as my "primary". Which is an ______adelphia1@comcast and all. But when I brought this issue up to customer service I was told I was using the "wrong password" which is a joke. Why does it work enough to tell me I'm trying to use a "secondary account" (which I'm not) but won't login with ANY other "primary" user name they give me.
And No. I am not going to PM my personal information on an internet forum. I can see why Fios gets so much business if this is how you guys handle things like this.

Same issue here with the Xfinity app. HBO Go installed fine though.
Is there a fix for this yet?
