I have been on the phone with Comcast for 9 days straight with a phone number issue. Comcast was holding my home number (which i have had for 20 years) because I had a tenant move in while I had to go away for a month. When I returned I restored service and wanted my home number back which they promised to hold for 30 days. Of course when the tech showed up to reconnect everthing he said my old number could not be connected. I have been on the phone with everyone from assoicates, supervisors, escalations department and the provisions department and I still do not have my old phone number back. Every single time I call I get a different story. I am appalled at the lack of knowledge of the people who work for Comcast. How could everyone have a different story. I just want my PHONE NUMBER BACK. I am desparetly seeking advise on who i should call??? Please help me. Thanks.

I am letting the Comcast admin know of your issue, he will be contacting you, but it might be a couple of days.
I am taking it that your old number was originally with your local wireline telephone company and at some time you ported it over to Comcast. The wireline co was actually the issuer of the number, it's really "their" number.
