I have a Pansonic phone with a digital answering device, paging and remote inquiry capability. Since I switched my phone service to comcast, my panasonic answering machine no longer picks up incoming calls nor does it record messages. I have set the ring count to "4" on my phone and still does not pick-up for incoming calls. Is this fixable?

The phone has to pickup before the Comcast Voice Mail answers. If the phone's set on 4, then the voice mail needs to be set 5 or higher. This can be done on the http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/ web site under preferences - voice - call forwarding & rings section.

I had changed my answering machine to answer on 6 rings and found that it no longer picked up the calls. I found your solution and changed the number of rings on Comcast to 9. The answering machine picks up the calls, now. Thanks very much for your help.
