I have a Siemens Gigaset home phone (not a cell phone) that allows you to send SMS text messages but it requires you to enter the SMS service/access number.  What is the xfinity SMS service number?

That would probable be your comcast telephone number.

Yes, when I activated this morning, it told me that my current plan includes text messaging.  I even tested sending a text through the web interface to my cell phone and it sent fine.  It seems that the actual SMS service number is hidden to the user.
