Unknown, automated 'Placed Calls' from my number

I checked my voice mail account via Comcast.net today and just happened to look at the 'Placed Calls' pane of the Xfinity Connect: Voice web page for my account. I noticed that every day since June 21, 2012 (as far as the record will list), a call has been placed to (866) 670-3989 at 4:21pm - every day at the same exact time. No one in the household has been making these calls.

 

Otherwise, there is no problem with my service, no interruption of my service - nothing out of the ordinary. I don't understand how/why this call is being made using my number to the same number at the same time every day since June 21, 2012 - or maybe longer.

 

Any ideas?

Most of the time it is a alarm system, water meter or a unit like a Tivo.

 

Unplug the telephone cord from your eMTA and see if it stops, that would indicate that some hardware is connected to your eMTA telephony modem and dialing out.

Thanks for the info. We do have an alarm system, so maybe this is the culprit.
