What is wrong with the programmers at Comcast? This problem was resolved about month ago after numerous posts, and now it starts again today.. It is not acceptable to have multiple browser windows open. There really is a complete disconnect with your customers. I have had it with Comcast! Get it fixed ASAP. I should have cancelled the last time. I don't need the aggravation!

It's not Comcast, it's your tabbed browser settings, set to open a new window...
Sounds like it's not IE9, so reset the browser like this:
Don't have it open
Control Panel
Network and Internet
Internet Options => Advanced => Reset
If you have an ancient XP computer, then in the Control Panel, on the left side shaded portion, click 'Switch to Classic View' open Internet Options, and same procedures for a full browser reset...

You are wrong. This is a problem that was resolved in May. It is not browser specific. Sounds like you work for Comcast support.

I used too, but not anymore, i hate everything about Comcast (except the services).... If you'd like your issue resolved, with my assistance, kindly provide me with your operating system info and browser version... and did you try the steps I posted before responding?

The settings are not the problem... Take a look. It is the new code the programmers used again.

Ok I see... possibly there is a workaround by modifying your tabbed browsing settings... Is it IE? and which version? Do you also have a 2nd browser with the same symptoms?

According to Comcast, it's Comcast. In http://forums.comcast.com/t5/E-Mail-and-Xfinity-Co
... When you click on Email button or Connect from xfinity.comcast.net, a new window or new tab will open, where you will be prompted to enter your login credentials. ...
Plus, the HTML behind the "Email" icon on xfinity.comcast.net includes "<a target='_blank'", which forces a new window/tab.

Seeing as how many posts were deleted, I'll leave it at this:
Thanks for the correction...
