I.E. as default rather than Firefox

Somehow Firefox has become my default browser.  How do I change it back to I.E.?

Re: I.E. as default rather than Firefox

For Windows 7, go into control panel, and then choose "default programs"

Then click on the "set your default programs"

Choose Internet Explorer and change it to "set to default"

In Windows XP, Control Panel/Add Remove Programs/Set Program Access and Defaults

Click Custom. Under Choose a Default Web Browser tick Internet Explorer, then OK.

Thank you both.  I'm using I.E.8 and it was in the Add/Remove Programs.  I found and changed back to I.E.

Cool DoubleG!  I didn't know you could do that or that was even there.  :smileyshocked:

Re: I.E. as default rather than Firefox

Thanks DoubleG.  After I tried the first solution, I noticed the next day that I.E. was not my default again.  I found this in the I.E. Help section and that seemed to fix it.  I also clicked on the box that said notify me if I.E. is not my default.  So far I haven't figured who or what was changing it back but this did solve the issue.

For many things there is more than one solution.

Those of us who help in the forum will present the various ways for you to try. Sometimes it's a matter of trying all of them in order to find the one which works for you.
