Here is a solution to use as a work around until the issue is resolved.
Barebones mobile site that works on both mobile devices and computers.
You can delete mail from there.
Comcast employees must be authorized to post in the forum. Employees posting here have their names in red and are designated as employees. Names not in red are customers.

Get a blackberry phone and use the xfinity mobile app for the blackberry that will help.

Thank you for your post to Xfinity Connect email forums. I would like to help resolve the issue's you are experiencing with deleting emails.
Please post the following information in your post.
Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.

I can't delete emails either on my IPhone app....this is really a pain...pls get it fixed

I dont understand why people don't just use the email function of their phone and not the app until this issue is fixed. Its like saying my tv does not work but you have one right next to it but you won't turn it on. Were talking mobile devices here they all the functionality to get email from comcast outside of the app. You won't see folders but you will get all your emails. This is also why you always want to have an internet based email address as a back up like yahoo or gmail, you can easily forward your comcast address to it.

This is fixed. It wasn't an app issue but a universal issue with Xfinity Connect.

Perhaps this issue is back. I can't delete emails in my Xfinity APP. They do not appear in my browser emails, they only appear in my Xfinity APP, and some are a few days old and Re-appeared. Can't delete them. Last time this happened, after trying a few days, I finally deleted the app, reinstalled and the emails were gone.

New version of Xfinity Connect Application Version 4.1 for iOS is released.
Please upgrade to the latest version and share your experience.
