Email counter shows more than actual

Well I'm going to contact someone higher up than this forum. It will take me all day because it will be on the phone to Comcast.

Hello,

If you would have read the forum that a few comcast customers are having the same issues you have. Have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling it? I don't think contacting someone higher up will help it will be just a waist of time but it is your choose.

Open a gmail account and delete comcast email. Don't bother reloading, because the counter will remain broken.

This is a backend issue with notifications server where the unread count is not reset and a fix is underway.

THis issue is now fixed. Can every one confirm? Open the app and log back in once again and the counter should normalize with every new email

Re: Email counter shows more than actual

It is now working for me (the counter).  I also wish that pdf attachments could be sent to iBooks.  Standard feature of the regular mail program.  (I bring that program up to do this ... but that's a pain.)
