Xfinity connect mobile app emails is not resetting. Once you read your emails the count is zero but as soon as you get a new email the count goes from the last number plus neon emails. Example. You really only have 4 emails you read them then get 10 new ones then the count now is 14. You read all 10 and get 5 more new ones then the count now says 19. My count is now 108 and all emails have been read. Please fix this. It is happening to a lot of people but the fix is being ignored

I am having a similar issue today on the xfinity connect app on my iphone. I have tried logging out and a forced restart of the app It is similar to an issue a few months back where the queue for "New" emails wasn't getting cleared even after they were viewed (so the banner was effectively keeping a running total of all email that came in regareless of whether they were read, deleted, etc). At that time, it was an issue they needed to fix on the back end.
So, hoping someone from Comcast is looking at this. If anyone has any other suggestions, they'd be appreciated.

I am also having the same issue on my iphone using the Xfinity App and using the Comcast Website using my computer. Both are not resetting and are saying the exact same number. I am getting quite annoyed as my email # is getting quite high when actually I may have only 1 or 2 unread emails but the number is now up to 28 on both my iphone and computer.

This is being investigated.
Meanwhile can you confirm when you go to Comcast.net home page online (Not XFINITY COnnect on the web), you see the same inaccurate email count next to email on the left side pane?

When I goto the comcast home page, the email count is still the incorrect number, it is the number that is showing on the xfinity app as stated in my post above which is incorrect.

As i stated earlier. The issue with the inaccurate email count is a seperate backend issue and is being investigated/fixed. It has nothing to do with the 4.2.1 upgrade. The 4.2.1 upgrade only fixed the login issues and is a regular update.
I will keep this thread updated.

Has this become an issue again? Have two Iphones and and an Ipad and all display a large number of badges. When you open up the app it goes away but then reappears as soon as you receive another message.

I agree with the above poster, I want to like this app too because the built in one on my iphone does not sync with what is on my computer (doesn't mirror it) like this one does. So if I use the one built on my phone I have to also go on my computer. But this one is identical to what is on my computer and vice versa. But it does get buggier and buggier.

I really understand each one of your concersns and we have escalated this to the highest levels. The solution and a fix is being worked on, but since this is a holiday week, it is taking some time.
Be rest assured that we will be deploying a fix to this issue. I will keep this thread updated.
