I am trying to watch HBO online on my IPAD2 but it will not let me. I am an HBO subscriber. I can watch HBO on TV. But when I try and watch HBO online it says that I need a subscription and asks me to login. I click on login and enter my online user ID and password. After I click continue it takes me right back to the screen indicating that I need to have a subscription. Any ideas? Thanks

The Comcast forum administrator has been informed.

you cannot watch hbo online with your ipad like you can with a pc or your tv, the fancast site requires flash which we know apple does not support. if your talking about the hbogo app, that will give you on demand like access to hbo programs. Did you download the app for ipad? you also have to be a comcast high speed customer for that to work. Let us know what your trying to do.

The message I get is I'm not a subscriber to HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz, etc, please sign-up and pay - It appears to the Xfinity system and HBOGO that even though I get HBO, Showtime, etc on my home TV and pay for it on my monthly bill, I'm not a subscriber

i have seen this happen when you are in some kind of promotion where your services are part of a bundle and not along. The system does not recognize the individual channels you have. If you call and ask to have the premium channel codes added to your account at zero dollars individually that might work as it did for some that posted here.

Well the story just gets stranger! I contacted comcast like you suggested to breakout the premium channels and after they got through doing whatever they do, I now get my "Set Box's not authorized" on my TV's. I don't know weather I should laugh or cry!

Boy I'm snake bit, I see speel check changed my "whether" to "weather". You have to give Comcast credit everytime I talk to someone they try and cross sell, does not do much about solving the problem, but it's good for business.

that is unreal. Call them you probably need to have a signal sent to the box.

Yes, I have downloaded the HBO to go app from the ipad app store. Yes, I am a high speed Comcast customer (Xfinity - whatever that is). I still can't register for HBO to go and want to since I get HBO!

They tried setting up a special signon and it just made matters worst. I've been in technology for over 40 years, but I have not seen a snafu like this. When you look up "the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing" in the dictionary, you see Comcast Custom Server's and Comcast Technology's picture next to it.

Well my latest update is: After being on a phone call with “Support from Executive Offices”, whatever that is for what it’s worth. The rep tried to tell me HBOGO and HBO, ShowTime over the internet is not available to me because I’m in a non-Motorola cable box area. That is totally irrational and illogical, Internet connections and subscriptions have nothing to do with what type of set box a customer has.
After stating that the representative claims the work order was close and everything had been fixed, to which I replied, than why do I still not have HBOGO or Xfinity HBO on the internet? I think it’s time for a letter the CEO and a look around for working options.

I have the HBOGO on my IPhone and it works fine so I don't know if there is a different technology for the IPad. Good luck

Lets start this back a few steps. Are you able to watch hbogo or fancast for that matter on your pc? If you can't even do that then there is an account issue and you can't even move forwared with trying to troubleshoot the ipad.

The person that contacted me said I quote "
