I have had my comcast e-mail forwarded to my phone for the past year, all of the sudden my e-mails will no longer load. It says that my server does not support SSL security or it says your server is not responding....how can I fix this????

Hello,
Are you using the xfinity mobile app for the iphone or blackberry? My blackberry app is having no problems loading emails.

No I have a Droid. Do I need to download the app now? Ive been receiving the emails up until some time yesterday it just wont load them, but all my other e-mail accounts continue to work fine.

the mobile app is having many issues. If you are just talking about receiving your email on your droid with the android os that is a whole different story.

I'm having the exact same issue...been sending/receiving Comcast e-mail on my Droid with no issues for the past 10 months until 3 days ago.
Is this a pathetic attempt of forcing people to use that buggy Xfinity app?

The Xfinity mobile app doesn't have issues recieving emails or replying to them. Please install the app and let us know if there are any issues wih it

I am currently using the app, but it was alot more convenient to just have the e-mails forwarded directly to the mail app. The mail app is alot quicker then the xfinity app when it comes to loading e-mails.

I too am having problems getting into my comcast email through my BB browser. I cannot utilize the Comcast mobile app as my company restricts app downloads to my company phone. However, for the past year+ I have not had a problem getting comcast email until last Thursday. Nobody seems to be able to help, that includes Comcast online technical support and when I call the mobile technical support phone number, I'm on hold 30+ minutes without talking to a live person! Great customer support Comcast!

There is a huge difference between mail app and xfinity connect app. The connect app is a full sync email client vs the mail app would only give you POP email. The mail app downloads the same headers as the Xfinity connect. If you mark an email in connect app as delete or read, it does the same on the web and keeps it in sync.

I understand the difference and wish I could be using the xfinity connect app. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with the mail app. However, after a year plus of accessing my comcast email that way, something has been changed which won't allow me to login on my bb any longer.

I have an iphone. After installing xfinity app, I continue to have problems getting my mail. Mail doesn't load and just now I received this message. . .Network could not be detected. Please try again later. I'm able to access the internet from my phone. What's up?

This happens due to network congestion sometimes. Are you still experiencing it?

I cannot download the app as my company bb has download restrictions. Therefore, I've been using the phone's browser to access my email via the web, until 2 weeks ago. Now, after numerous postings here and phone calls with tech support, I still cannot get throught he login page.

can you log out of the application, Kill the app from the background tray, log in again and let me know if it's still giving you that error?
was it always behaving like this or this particular version ?

Well after weeks of trying to get help through the message boards and playing phone tag with Comcast Technical support, the phone tech told me that there is nothing that Comcast can do to resolve the issue that my BB can no longer access my Comcast email through the BB's web browser (my company restricts non-business downloads to the company phone - hence, I cannot download the Xfinity Mobile app).
Oh well, maybe I start looking for another ISP :-(

There are plenty of people complaining about the Xfinity mobile app for droid not loading their emails. Emails load on my Droid, but the minute my husband just OPENS the email program on my PC, ALL emails, saved or new, are gone. It does not sync at all. PLEASE give me back the old Comcast email mobile app! Loaded all my emails, which stayed in their in box folder until I deleted them. Help!

That program needs to have the "Leave a copy on the server" Advanced Option enabled. If you can't find it, post the name and version of the email program and we can provide more specific instructions.

I cannot locate the Advanced option of "leave a copy on my PC"; either on my email settings app on my phone or on my PC. I have Windows XP and Outlook Express 6 on my PC. I have a Droid phone; with the Xfinity app for my email. Please help!
