Actually some some can pay for such services as the Xfinity Mobile Application Software usage. I say as like EVERYTHING in this corrupt world we live in you got to rread the finest print in *(Term's & Condition's)* not all customers have eligible programing packages and so forth to receive the additional services free. THANK THE BIG GUY THAT I DONT NOR OTHERS NOT PAYIN FOR IT if it is never operable Operational for months on end its just a very clear lead to a lack of expereince within Web Development.

Nalykh - can you uninstall the application and re-install it and try again?
Are you able to recieve the text messages in the app ? and online on Xfinity connect on the web?

So, are secondary accounts included in the new 4.0 App? Just wanted to ask before I through the trouble of upgrading apps on all of our devices if it is not......

No secondary accounts are still not enabled for Text Messaging. This feature will be available in a few months, but the primary will have to map a secondary to a number. Will keep you updated once this is available.

Moved to a new place on June 1...same address, phone etc. and still can't use the text messaging from my PC. Got a call yesterday and was told it was all set. I sent one text..waited for and hour for a reply, and nothing. I called the person and was told she never recieved it. Tech support is no help at all. and this is very very frustrating.

I've been disappointed lately with the Xfinity Connect app. I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app on my iPhone at least 4 times in the past two months just to get the app to start working again. This morning I did it again because text messages were not updating. After the reinstall they still are not updating. I thought the app worked perfectly until you came out with the Xfinity Connect update. Please consider reverting back to the old app if you can't get this one to work properly.

If standard text charges still apply on the mobil device, I fail to see an advantage, could someone enlighten me? Does it allow one to send SMS to other's landlines? Sign me, Obviously confused. ![]()

Same odd limitation as Xfinity CallerID to PC? Only one PC in the household can use it at a time.

No charges are applied on the text messages you send from this service. It only uses data connection on your phone. Any messages you send to any number in US and Canada is free. Yes you can send an SMS to other landlines, but they should have the capability to receive it on the other end.

So pretty much these texts will still show up on my phone bill (since its still going through 3g etc.)

That's what I was getting after. There's still carrier data charges to/from your cell phone, regardless of the xfinity application. It's not avoiding your having to pay for the bandwidth used completely.

How does your app prevent my carrier from charging me for the data it uses to operate? It may not be via standard sms but it's using data/bandwidth I pay for one way or another.

I would love to be able to reply to someone's text; however, as of a few days ago, I can no longer reply to or send any texts. I can receive them all day long but nothing more. It used to work somewhat "ok" but now it's just broken. I've cleared the cache...still doesn't work. Any ideas????
Also, what's with the stuttured and delayed response time when attempting to type anything via e-mail or text. It takes like 2-3 seconds for the letters to show up on screen after I type them sometimes. It's very irritating.
I have the Droid RAZR Maxx with the new ICS. Android Version 4.0.4

When I try using the new Mobile App I get a message stating I must subscribe to XFinity Internet and Voice Services. I have the Premiere bundle and subscribe to pretty much everything. Not sure what to do at this point.

GolfGirlRN...mine was doing the same thing as well. It had just gotten to the point where nothing seemed to be working right so I just uninstalled and reinstalled the XFINITY app. Seems to be working a "little" better now; however, when typing anything the touch screen keys seem very slow. You can't type anything fast by any means. It's only in this app though. So apparently that's another issue with it.

I have four family members that I routine text and occassionally 9 members. In my Android set up, I was able to create two groups with numbers. On the web Comcast site I have these groups also available, but they do not seem to transfer over to the text messaging setup. I would like to select a group and send a text message to all in the group without having to scroll through several hundred names in the address book. Is there a shortcut or someway of setting this up. I have names in in A, L, N, R, and S and that makes a lot of scrolling to add to the text message.

I have the same problem. it is pretty rare for me to be able to receive texts from various services. sending doesn't seem to be the problem.

Have been running this app on my iPad 2 for some time now, current at version 4.1.1. With the latest update, the app doesn't seem to freeze as often (spinning update icons never going away), but now I'm seeing a problem that's equally annoying. After typing my message in the scratchpad and sending, assume I exit/minimize the app, then come back in ... at this point, the iPad keyboard instantly pops up because the text that I'd previously sent, successfully, is still sitting there in the scratchpad! If the text has been sent, clear the scratchpad! Also, the numerical message counter is almost always wrong ... i.e. after viewing a message from someone, the counter stays at 1 more often than not. Why doesn't this get reset the INSTANT a message is viewed? I love using this app, but it just seems like it gets weird in a different way every day. My $0.02 ..

When i click TEXT in Xfinity Connect on my HTC One I get the sign up page, then I get the screen saying text messaging is included at no extra charge based on my plan and click accept, then it goes to subscriber agreement and click accept. Then I get the page we were unable to process your request. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact Customer care by calling or live chat with an agent[14010] and have a close or chat button. I have been trying this for about 2 weeks and always the same results

Have you tried calling the CARE or initiating a chat with a customer care agent. This appears to be an issue with your account. Let me know if you did not get any help there?
