Problem launching New X Finity Connect Application on a I Phone Model 4

I downloaded the new xfinity connect app before lunch and things worked just fine on my I Phone (4). Now, when I try to check e-mails, the xfinity connect logo screen comes on for a second then the screen goes completely black!  All other apps work on the I Phone and I can send and receive e-mails.  The phone works fine when receiving or calling people.  I know that deleting the application is an option but since I am on the road, I don't have all the settings required to get the current application up and running. I have turned the i phone off several times to reboot and nothing works. Any suggestions?

all you can do is delete the app and reinstall it.  I don't understand what you mean by but since I am on the road, I don't have all the settings required to get the current application up and running.  All you do is delete it go to the app store and download it again, there are no settings required.

This is a known issue. If the xfinity connect app is running in the background and you turn off your phone and power it back up and then open the app, the app may show a black empty screen. The issue has been identified and fixed and will be part of the 4.0.2 update coming out soon. Workaround - just kill the app from the background ( double tap on home button of your device, and remove the app from the background) and restart again. This will fix the issue and the app will work fine. I will keep you updated.
