I set a reminder for a program not realizing it would put a number reminder all the way up on the main screen of my iphone (which, sadly, ISN'T done for the one option for which I need it the most - voicemail!). Anyway, I don't want that reminder notification and number up there on the icon when the show is days away so I went and turned off the reminder for the program. Removed the reminder from the program, but still didn't remove it. Then I removed the program from a favorite program alltogether. Still didn't remove it. Can someone please tell me how to "clear" the reminders or guide reminder notifications?
Also, there should be a list of reminders (a la the Tivo "To Do" list or Season Pass list) - I don't want to have to guess which programs have reminders and turn on or off, want to just see reminders (and, at this point, turn off).
I may be missing how to do this since it's a new app, but the guide side doesn't seem as developed as the Vmail (which is fine by me b/c it's 95% of why I needed the app.)

1. For Inbox /Digital Voice modules - indicator on main menu is the total count of unread/unheard messages in the module (Inbox or Digital Voice), so if you have 2 unread emails and 1 unheard voicemail in your inbox module - the number on the icon will be 3 on Inbox and 1 on Digital voice. If you don't have any unread emails or unheard Voicemails there won’t be any indicator. If you mark a voicemail as ‘unheard’ or mark an email as ‘unread’, the new message indicator will appear on the main menu on Inbox or Digital Voice module.
2. Guide Reminders - If you set a reminder for a program running now, and then later remove it (select OFF), it will definitely remove the icon from the main menu. If it is not doing so, then we will have to log it in for investigation. You may want to restart the application and turn reminders ON and OFF and let us know what happens.
The other scenario is - Open a program > go to ‘Other showtimes’ (in future date)> turn the reminder ON for a future show. (Indicator on the main screen and the reminder icon on that program will appear). To remove the indicator from the main menu, you will have to go in to that future show and turn the reminder OFF. You can either navigate to the future date either through 'Other showtimes', or use the Calendar function (tap on the date tab towards the left) on the Grid view in portrait.
Current release does not have the functionality to centrally manage the reminders in a consolidated list. This function will be available in the next release. We greatly appreciate your feedback and will continue to add more value to the product. Let us know if there’s anything else that you think could be useful.

On 1) Yes, I do get that functionality (though it's just in app for now on voicemail, right?) only in Inbox does it show you number for unread VMs.
On 2) I have removed every reminder and only had 3 shows (including a future episode) as a favorites. One reminder was added. No show has a reminder, no shows are now favorites, no future episodes have reminders (or are marked). Still have a (1 bubble) next to The Guide and a (1 bubble) on the icon of the app.
Restarted app - there is only one option for Reminders on the Guide which is "set individually" - that is selected. The indicator is ONLY coming from the Guide.
Could you possibly look into this? Is my only option now to delete the app and reinstall and reset it all up?
Also, when you do an update, you should also set the default as (None) and list that everywhere. Then it could be "Set Individually" and other choices. It's very confusing when you go into a program b/c it shows you the options (the four now starting with At Showtime) and no option for (None) or (Off). That option only appears ONCE you've set one. So, as a practice, it's good to always have things set as a Default to (None) or (Off), then give the other choices, and if someone chooses None, maybe even remove the "Reminder" option from the shows, or just have it and again, set it to Off, instead of opening screen and showing four unchecked options, none of which is Off. Hope that makes sense...
Hope to hear from you on my next step. The reminder icon is driven on The Guide, which has no reminders. The show that DID have a reminder is a week and a half away - I really don't want that icon there until then for a nonexistant reminder...

On 1) the new message indicators works for both inbox and digital voice module. If you have a voicemail in the VM tab in Inbox, it will also be present in the VM tab of Digital voice module. If you mark that voicemail unheard or a new voicemail comes in, it will have the same treatment in both modules- a new message indicator will appear in both modules. Try marking a voicemail as unheard (while playing it) and you will see a new message indicator on Digital voice in main menu.
Unfortunately we don't have an immediate fix for the reminder issue. As i said earlier, this is in the roadmap for the next release. If the icon is bothering you, the quickest fix is to delete and re-install the application. You won't lose any data. Just set up your Guide again. We will have a better reminder management mechanism and other useful features in the next release.
Thankyou for your valuable feedback.

I ended up deleting app and reinstalling - it removed that errant reminder but kept my unread VMs so I think you should look into that possible bug (and maybe other reminder enhancements in the future.) For now, I will be cautious/sparing with my reminders... ![]()
Only thing strange now is that I'm not crazy that doubles the notifications - I have two unread vms, and it's showing the notification number as 4 - i guess b/c two are in my inbox (which they have to be) and two are in the Digital Voice. That's something I read in another post as a problem so hopefully that will be fixed soon, but at least I know they are real notifications.

p.s. Just listing improvements for the future - as I said, I am THRILLED to have this iphone app. The Dig Voice online portal was frustrating and cumbersome and resulted in me missing messages or hearing them later. I am instantly updated now - hooray!

That double notification shouldn't be happening. We'll check it out. When you say "notification is 4" I assume you mean back on the home page when you exit the app?

Yes - all I have are two voicemails marked unread (saving for my aforementioned husband b/c I can't email it to him!
) - the notifications on the app home screen has a (2) in Inbox and then a (2) for Digital Voice. That's redundant but I get it. But, when I'm out and on the iphone home page when I exit the app, it notifies me of (4).
Here's the other post that mentions this for a fix/improvement:

Right, thanks. I think it's an easy decision - total notifications should be just that - if it's all in your inbox, then just count the new notifications there, or ignore and count up from each function but I know no program that would double count (that's like having my mail accounts and it says 4 in my X account, and 4 in the top notification screen in mail b/c of that, so it would be 8 on the mail icon?) You only have 4 items, period. Again, easier said than done techwise, I'm sure, but hopefully it will be fixed. As of now, we all have to divide our notifications in half to get a sense of the real number! Thank goodness I'm not using it for email or for Guide / Program reminders - that would mean I'd have a big number to contend with.
Anyway, thanks for all the help - I appreciate it!
