On 2 different PCs, 2 different accounts and 2 different ipods, we are finding that changes made on the PC using Smartzone have not made it to the ipod touch. Here are the scenarios
PC #1 (updated to the latest Comcast Mobile App) - I made changes only on the PC, they were 6 changes and one new contact. Ran a sync and the pop up window said edit = 6, delete = 0, add = 0. Obviously the add did not go. I did a local delete and reloaded my full address book from Smartzone to ipod and again that new contact did not go to the ipod.
PC #2 (not updated to the latest Comcast Mobile App) - Changes were made only on the PC, they were change the name of a contact and add a new contact. Ran a sync and the pop up window said edit = 0, delete = 1, add = 2. None of the changes went to the ipod. Did a local delete and reloaded the full address book from Smartzone and the changes did not go to the ipod.

In our experience there is often a delay between the time you make a change in SmartZone and when they get reflected inside the application. The changes from SmartZone are first sync'd with 'Plaxo' which is the master database. The changes from iPhone/iPod app are also sync'd to this master database. Therefore, until the master and SmartZone are completely synchronized you will not see 100% changes. This usually happens when you make a change and immediately check whether its reflected in iPod or not.(We are working on improving this time delay)
It is advisable to wait for couple of minutes and then synchronize and also keep synchronizing from time to time. You can use Sync like a Refresh function.
Need
some clarification on - "I did a local delete and reloaded my full address book from Smartzone to ipod and again that new contact did not go to the ipod." - do you mean you selected 'Delete local address book' from the settings and then synchronized? Which would have wiped off your entire local address book and brought in all your smartzone contacts? Is that correct?03-16-2010 02:38 PM

Having problems again. I decided to do a control test. I changed the setting on my ipod so that those contacts would be deleted and refreshed from Smartzone when I did the next sync. I completed the sync and the counts (less groups) matched.
I setup 4 new contacts on Smartzone at 10:30 PM on March 23. On the following morning (March 24 at 9:30 AM) I ran the Comcast Mobile app on my ipod and the 4 new contacts did not come down from Smartzone. I tried again at 3 PM and again no new contacts on my touch.
AT 3:15 PM I changed an old existing contact on Smartzone (set up work info), and at 4:10 PM ran the sync and the change did NOT come down from Smartzone to the ipod.
I bought the ipod touch as a replacement for my Palm when I read about the Comcast Mobile app.
I'm so glad that I am using Microsoft Outlook and itunes for my calendar.

We did the some tests and figured out there could be a temporary issue with sync between Plaxo and Smartzone. As sync between mobile app and plaxo are working fine. The changes are not reaching smartzone from plaxo and vice versa, hence not reflecting in the mobile app also. We have started an investigation and hopefully resolve the issue soon. Will keep you udpated. Please keep us informed if you notice any changes. Thanks for you patience.

SAM-D - can you confirm which comcast.net you were using when the sync issues were discovered? (I sent you an email)
Thanks for your help

A fix has been put in place last night. Everything should be working fine now.
can you check and let us know? ( There could be a delay of several minutes like before but SmartZone and Application should reflect all changes made)

The changes that I have been waiting for came down from Smartzone/Plaxo. I will run some additional tests shortly.

The tests I ran were successful, including a delete that I made on my ipod that resulted in a delete on Smartzone.
There is one nagging problem. Data in the "OTHER" tab on Smartzone is NOT synced to the ipod.

Thanks for confirming.
The 'Other' tab has fields that we currently don't sync with iPhone address book - such as Dept, profession, Nickname, Anniversary, Manager's Name, etc..We have to match the fields as they are on the device and keep it consistent.
