Well the long awaited 4.0.2 was released, and it still crashes. I even went as far as deleting it and reinstalling it and it still crashes. This new Xfinity Connect app sucks!!!

Checked app.

started up and finished "configuring" after I entered requested data. (this is the second try - this time it seemed to work)

 I can check email again.

haven't pused the app too far. Also it notifies me now when I recieve a phone call at home.

Seems to be on track to being "repaired"

I made a big mistake and upgraded the xfinity app on both my iPhone and iPad.  What a mistake.  I did it for two reasons 1) to finally be able to use my contacts that are in the Comcast email app instead of the iPhone contacts and 2) I mistakenly thought that such an upgrade would support printing the emails.  Not only was I wrong on the second part but I now have to suffer through a user interface that is awful.  It is not intuitive and in some cases does not work.  It does not matter how i try to edit and delete emails on my iPad - they will not delete.

The app is soo bad that my family is now relegated to getting our email from the web browser app.  It is so bad, we are now investigating other options like gMail to move our email to.

You have effectively lowered my expectations.

Crashes, everytime, I do get push notifications, but then I attempt to start the app, I get the splash screen and then it crashes.

I've updated the 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 crashes, I have removed it and re-installed it and it still crashes.

Your bug fix isn't fixed.

Now I have just removed it, if it isn't going to work why bother having on my iPod Touch.

Hope Comcast isn't planning on updating Xfinity TV app, because if they can't get the Xfinity connect app to work right then I'm sure they will screw that one up too.

Okay. I will pass it on to our team.

If you can answer these questions it will help. What version of iOS you are using on your iPod touch ?

What is your Xfinity subscription - do you have Internet, voice and video or just itnernet  ?

Can you try this - delete the app, power off your phone and then re-install from the app store and open it. ?

Re: The XFINITY™ Mobile app is now the XFINITY™ Connect app

iPod Touch 2nd Generation

iOS 4.2.1

Xfinity, TV, Voice, Internet, eMail

As I stated I have already attempted deleting and reinstalling, I failed to mention that I have also shut off the device and reinstalled it, at first it seems to work, but the minute you try to do anything it crashes, and afterwards it crashes at the splash screen.

Well - can you uprgade your iPod Touch's OS to at least the latest Apple OS - 5.1.1 and above and try again. This might be due to a very old device OS

No iOS 5.x.x rerquires a 4th Generation iPod touch.

If the Xfininty Connect app only works with iOS 5.x.x, then Comcast should make it clear to Apple and their subscribers that the 4.0.2 app will not work on older devices that are not running iOS 5

No. The app works with OS above 4.0.0, but in general the new applications have a lot of issues with 4.0 iOS. Many apps are facing this issue. Regardless, our team will look into this right away

Actually concerned to upgrade  to 4.0.2 since I now have 4.0.1 working. Last time the app was a disaster.

The chatter seems to indicate there are still problems. I will wait another week or so before updating.

It is worthless now thanks to the wonderful updates.  When I installed it I could no longer make hands free calls using my cars Bluetooth. I had to manually connect each call using my smartphone. When I clicked on using phone as default on the screen the app prompted me to do I got connected to a default I couldn't change.  My smartphone is a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. When I uninstalled the app my Bluetooth connection worked perfectly.

Re: The XFINITY™ Mobile app is now the XFINITY™ Connect app

I realize that it was never indicated that it would print.  I was wrong in assuming that such a major release would include this essential functionality.

Now - onto the issue that are forcing us to look elsewhere.

1. Deleting does not work when using the 'edit' functionality.

- Deleted emails reappear or never disappear

- Sometimes you can not even select emails to delete

- Sometimes you can select, but , the options icons do not appear

- Tap and hold does snot work on the iPad

2. The UI is soo cluttered on the iPad that the space left to read the email is to small to hardly read the email.  I know you can pinch and expand - but - with the size screen on the ipad, you should not have to and would not have to with a better user interface.

New Xfinity App is horrible! How Can I get old version back!

The new version takes at least 20 seconds to load; my email disappears frequently when I click on a message; the app crashes most of the time; it's unclear how to delete a message since you've completely changed that function!  And I now have to log out and log into another app to check TV schedules!

How can I get the old app back!

I am using this on an ipod Touch.

Newest version (4.0.1) does not sync with webmail or PC clients, deleted items on webmail still show in app.  Logged out and back in, still have the problem. Tried uninstalling and re-installing, but still have the issue.

Same observation as gdio53 - no longer syncing.  Deleted emails and unread marks no longer reflected properly on app.  Please advise.

Re: The XFINITY™ Mobile app is now the XFINITY™ Connect app

Also, unread indicator on droid notification bar now shows an extremely high, inaccurate number, of unread emails.  Email tab in app has more realistic number of unread emails - it matches what app inbox shows as unread, which of course does not match with what is on internet/pc as it's not syncing properly.

This and prior post issues just started in last few days.

The latest update has been working fine for me on Android and on a Samsung Epic 4G. The only problems I have seen with it is the notification always says I have 25 new emails regardless of whether I have one or 15 or whatever. I have tried clearing data as well as uninstall/install. Still the same. Don't care really but seems a little odd.

Please log out of the application and try again.....I have been having this issue for weeks. Used to love this feature as I normally forget to forward before I leave the house!

Re: The XFINITY™ Mobile app is now the XFINITY™ Connect app

I've noticed that if I start to compose a message and save it to the drafts folder through the Xfinity web interface, at first the message does not appear in the drafts folder on the Droid App.  At some point it does show up, but not properly -- only the first couple of sentences, and then it just ends with elipsis ("...").  And conversely, if I start to compose a message using the Droid App and save it as a draft, it does not appear in the drafts folder that is visible through the web interface.  I'm a but puzzled by this behavior.  Why wouldn't the Droid App maintain a proper synch, saving and loading draft messages from the same drafts folder on the server so that messages are equally visible from the web or the App, regardless of which tool was initially used to compose the message?

I have the same problem regarding the ability, or inability, of changes to "stick", in regard to the Connect calendar. I have to re-enter my password every time I go into the calendar on my iPad, even though my Xfinity ID is correct. For reason my password is always "incorrect", although it's the same password i've had for years when i access my Xfinity account. Also, I try to get rid of Fandango, which I can do when I'm on the calendar, but it always re- appears when I access the calendar again.

In certain cases email sync for folders other than Inbox is not working correctly. This issue has been already communicated to the developers. I will keep you posted on the updates

Is there a way to see your e-mails in a full screen view on an iPad? They only show up in a sliver of the screen.

Re: The XFINITY™ Mobile app is now the XFINITY™ Connect app

I downloaded the XFinity Connect app - when I try to log in it says I must have a comcast username ending with @comcast.net in order to access Xfinity Connect.

All I want to do is be able to pay my cable bill from my iPhone - I don't have any other comcast service except cable.

The only reason I downloaded the app is because of the website like "view and pay your bill from your mobile"

Re: The XFINITY™ Mobile app is now the XFINITY™ Connect app

Ok. I've posted this in 2 other threads/forums, maybe I'll have better luck here.  The title of the thread is that XFinity Mobile app is now Xfinity Connect. The XFinity mobile app allowed me to view TVlistings, set recordings and manage myDVR. The Xfinity Connect app is an email client.

How does one 'replace' the other? I have a half dozen email clients any one of which would manage my Comcast email if I chose to do so. I only had one app that did what XFinity mobile did. I cannot stress how completely useless Xfinity Connect is to me.

I tried the XFinity TV app, but it has a clunky hard to use interface and the Manage mydvr button just sends you to the webpage.

And i still didn't get an answer...Why would you change something that no one is complaining about? If you all cannot fix our problem the maybe think about putting up two links. One for newer version and one for older version. Ppl who would like to upgrade can do so and everyone else will be happy with the older version...geesh. Some of us can't upgrade out OS...

Really need the Mobile app for the Windows phone. I would like to be able to see my calendar & contacts on my phone.

For others out there - I use to use my work Outlook calendar to sync but (just laid off) I no longer have it and am looking for other alternatives for a calendar for my Windows phone. At this rate I am going to have to switch to Android to get needed apps.

Re: The XFINITY™ Mobile app is now the XFINITY™ Connect app

The only thing that bugs me with this app is the low volume when checking voicemail on my Android HTC Rezound.   Latest versions of everything.   There is no volume control in the app that I could find.  When I change the volume levels for the Android (for media, alerts or phone) it doesn't change the volume when listening to voicemails.

I've seen this issue reported elsewhere, but I didn't see it reported in this thread.  Please enhance the app to provide better control of volume.   In the meanwhile, the website works.
