I don't understand your message. What sort of problem are you having and what sort of help do you need?

I'm having the same issue. When I look at my XfinityConnect app on my iphone it shows that I have some crazy amount of emails waiting instead of the correct amount. For example just a few seconds ago I checked and it said I had 112 unread emails which is impossible since I check it quite frequently. When I launched the application I only had 3 or 4 emails that weren't read.
It seems like once I launch the application it clears the number and I'm fine until a new email pops in. Then instead of showing 1 as it should, it would now show 113. It's almost like it's not syncing with the fact that we've already acknowledged receipt.
Sounds like something isn't communicating to some server somewhere that these emails are no longer unread. Hope that helps.

I am having the same issue. The xfinity app (on the app page) shows 143 unread messages. When I open the app there are none. I close the app and it shows no unread apps. 10 or 15 minutes later I look at the app and it shows 147?? It is an app problem and the counter is not re-setting.

This is happening to me as well and it is quite annoying because you can't honestly tell if there are other e-mails that you have missed. I have actually deleted the app and re-installed it a few times. Shut down my phone and today I have well over 100 unread e-mails according to the app, but when I click on it to read my messages that just came through I only have 1 or 2 (sometimes more). The other day it cleared itself out without any action from me and started back at 1 (I'm referring to the little number showing in the upper right corner of the app when looking at my iPhone/iPad screen). This just started happening after the most recent update to the app. For the love of God Comcast...figure this out please. It's annoying!

I'm having the same problem with my IPad. The Xfinity app keeps showinglarge numbers of e-mails to be read and I have already read and deleted them. It's annoying. Whado else can I do?

I am having the same problem with the e-mail counter not resetting after I look at all the unread emails. It was even a problem when I opened my Comcast e-mail online, so it is not strictly an app issue. Please fix!

How do I get someone to tell me how to rectify this problem? The Xfinity e-mail app keeps showing that there're are many(presently224)e-mails. I have put unwanted e-mails in the trash and have deleted them. There should only be a few left in the in box. Why does it keep showing a large number to be opened?

Anybody from Comcast watching this board? Seems like a few of us are all experiencing the same thing. Could they at least acknowledge they are aware of the issue?

It's not just the xfinity app. It also happens in my Google web browswer on my PC.

I have the same problem, it is very annoying. It started about a week ago on all devices. Come on, Comcast, at least acknowledge the issue.

Hello, Comcast, are you there???
Seriously...why have this forum if you aren't actually moderating it and following up. If people are going to take the time to post about issues they are experiencing you should have the professionalism to respond.
If you aren't going to respond - at least send us an application update that fixes the problem and let us all think it was just "magic".
Thanks!

This is a backend issue with notifications server where the unread count is not reset and a fix is underway.

Hallelujah! A response. Thank you!
Please keep us posted as this is obviously important to many of us!

Email count doesn't clear after you've read them on mobile app.

I'm so unhappy with the "Upgrade" this new version is so poorly designed and quits out or freezes up all the time. The other version was simple, clean and user friendly so Goodness, let's not keep that. I'm not sure this is the forum to complain but I'm just so annoyed that there is no place to give my 2 cents worth.
I'm a commercial and graphic designer I know what works, what doesn't and why.

My Email Notifier box on my Comcast.Net home page indicates I have 5 new emails. Oddly (or not since this is Comcast), I cannot access these 5 new emails in any way, shape, or form. I use Firefox 14.0.1 primarily but have Safari 5.1.7 and Explorer 9.08 and my iPad. I use the Full Version for Email but I tried the Lite Version and switched back again to Full because it made no difference. I still could not access the inaccessable 5 emails. In response to your standard questions, see below.
Do you use XfinityConnect? Yes
The Full or Lite version? Full but tried Lite and it is the same problem.
Do you use an email client? I also have an iPad which accesses my Comcast Email. SAME PROBLEM.
Which browser/version do you use? Firefox 14.0.1, Safari 5.1.7, and Explorer 9.08 and my iPad
And- have you cleared your browser cache? Yes (and history and rebooted and tried the default Firefox page. I did ALL the things you always tell people to try with the same result as usual. NONE.)
Which operating system? Vista (and iPad)
Details of the problem you are having. My Email Notifier box on my Comcast.Net home page indicates I have 5 new emails. I open my Email account and nothing new appears. I click "Get Mail". Nothing. Nada. Nyet. I cannot access these 5 new emails in any way, shape, or form.

PS: Be aware if you respond by email, I very likely won't be able to see it.

I have an iPhone 4s and have had the same "gazillion unread messages" number showing in the Mail icon
I opened the messages icon and tapped the "Mailboxes" arrow in the top left corner and then systematically re-deleted all the read emails I had deleted previously.
The un-read messages number disappeared.

This is now resolved from backend. Open the app once and then the number of email messages will normalize. Please confirm if it is working for you now

Thank you for working this out for everyone!

Having same problem! Shows email on iPad that is unread and when I click on app to read there is nothing there! This just started happening. App used to be great when I first downloaded. This is a very annoying issue. Please update this app!!
