Why did Comcast take a good app (Xfinity Mobile) and ruin it with Xfinity Connect?

Can anyone tell me why Comcast ruined a perfectly good app by replacing Xfinity Mobile with Xfinity Connect?  You could do anything from Xfinity Mobile including launch the Xfinity TV app and I never had it crash once.  The new app is absolute JUNK!

it was never together for iphone users, it was always seperate, android users now have the same as us.

I never stated it was together.  I stated that you could launch the Xfnity TV app from Xfinity Mobile.  I did it all the time to check tv schedules and set my DVR remotely.  Now I must go through the TV app.  Still doesnt' answer the question regarding why they felt the need to change what was working.  It has less features and crashes more frequently.  Junk
