I have the 'unidentified call blocking' feature turned on, but I still get many calls with the ID of "unknown" and a number shown as 000-000-0000.
I tried dialing *60 to block that particular number and the nice robot lady tells me that she's sorry but that number is not a valid number.
I have also tried to answer the call but there is never anyone there.
Are there any other options for me at this point?

you can't block a number that has no number. Are you on the do not call registry?
Let me tell you how those calls work. A person using a computer programs calls lets say 200 people, the first person to answer connects with the call, everyone else gets hung up on. So you should pick up the phone as fast as possible when you pick it up you will probably just hear nothing that is because it takes up to 10 seconds for the call to connect to you after everyone else hangs up. So wait until then and see if someone picks up. If they do very nicely ask them to put you on their do not call list. There is pretty much nothing else you do besides those steps.
