Usage Meter Gone, again

Again the bandwidth usage meter has disappeared for all my accounts. This seems to happen at the end of every month obviously because the usage cap is resetting itself on the last day of the month (I'd presume at least ... )

Problem is I am still doing things and since the meter is not showing ... I have no idea where I am exactly at. I really could care less, but given the fact that comcast will shut off my internet for an entire year after 2 infringements , I kind of care right now.

This happens every month, and also the alotted bandwidth for say August 31st will start counting towards September first around 8-9 PM Eastern I've noticed , that's kind of shady considering that its still ... August 31st, not september. But whatever, just figured I'd post this. Getting brighthouse soon thankfully

Re: Usage Meter Gone, again

Your assumption about the meter resetting at the end of the month is correct. Have you found yourself close to the max in the past that you are concerned about going over?  Have you been warned in the past by Comcast regarding your usage?

It's 9:17PM Central time, and the meter has now reset to 0 GB, not even into the next month and it's already reset, stay classy Comcast.

Yes I do a lot of uploading to cloud services , and get very close to 250GB every month. No I have never been warned, before Comcast chose to admit to having a cap ... I worked for Comcast for almost 3 years. A lot of people knew Comcast had a hidden cap but never admitted it. So I chose to be very careful in the past. When they came out and frankly said it was 250GB, that made it a lot easier to track.

For people like me who always get close to the cap though, it kind of sucks that they start counting my bandwidth towards the month of september at 9 PM Central time 8/31/11. This might seem like I am nit picking, but after working for them and seeing how seedy of a company it really is, I have no problem pointing these things out. Will be moving soon, as petty as it is , not giving comcast my money every month will be rewarding in it's own right.

*EDIT* usage meter is gone again, I wonder what grandslam shows lol.

Dude -- it's 3 hours out of 730 or so, about .4%. And whatever you "lose" at the beginning of the month you "make up" at the end of that month. The meter resets at 0 hours GMT on the first of every month, so if you really need to be precise, plan accordingly.
