Do you mean these arrows? If so, there is no way to remove them.

Re: annoying arrows pointing out email etc on homepage

I had this problem when the Comcast Technician came to replace my modem. He updated some software, and then everytime I went to the home page, there were big circles and an arrow pointing to my e-mail and pointing to the words My Profile. I called Comcast and they told me to go to Internet Options and change the home page to xfinity.comcast.net. This did stop that problem.

Comcast has redesigned the home page, and some users are now forced to use it. It's been redeisgned for people using tablets and fat fingers. That's the only reason for the monstrous size of everything.

Comcast should STRONGLY consider having an option for two formats: tablet-oriented and computer/mouse-oriented.

Re: annoying arrows pointing out email etc on homepage

The arrows mentioned in the original post are most likely related to our first time user experience.  For new customers, we present a site tour which shows blue arrows over key links on the site including email.  Each blue arrow has a clickable 'X' to close the arrows.

In cmm3101 case, the modem swap has triggered the first time user experience.  We're working on a solution for this scenario so exisiting customers swapping out modems do not get the same experience as a new customer.

I replaced my modem tonight and I don't see any of that stuff.

We are investigating the different scenarios as to when this occurs.  It might be a subset of modem swap scenarios that an existing customer could get put into the first time user experience.

Bill, I have been seeing this every day recently and I have not had a modem switch out for the past 5 years.

LAM38Z, it sounds like your home page is set to one of our welcome pages.  To change this, go to this link and click "Make this my home page".  You should see the link on the upper right hand side of the page.

http://xfinity.comcast.net/

Or, go to the link above, and if using IE, click the arrow next to the home icon on your toolbar and select "Add or change home page" then select "Use this web page as your only home page".

Let me know how this works out.

Re: annoying arrows pointing out email etc on homepage

I have tried the suggestions to get rid of those stupid blue arrows and nothing works. The next time I log on they are back. They have been a pain in the you know what for the past week or so, and I haven't replaced my modem or changed my homepage, they just showed up on their own. It looks like I will have to use something else as my homepage. Not the way to keep customers happy.
