Why is it that only a few selected videos play under the Today's Top Videos on the Xfinity video home page? When I click on certain videos, they don't play and the scroll automatically moves down to another one.

What specific videos are you trying to play? Please tell me so I can test them out.
Thanks,

Joe,
They are the videos on xfinity.comcast.net home page. The heading is "Featured Videos" and the subset is "Today's Top Videos"

I'm using Windows XP Pro. They seem to work okay using IE latest version.
Maybe has to do with Adblock Plus that I use with Firefox?

Joe....I have an i-mac, running Snow Leopard OS.

PretenderZenith,
Yes, please disable Adblock Plus and see if videos work. Also disable any other ad blocking plug-ins.

I disabled Adblocker Plus and all videos played except for one video which went thru the ad, but then jumped to another video rather than playing the one I chose. I used IE and it appeared to work ok.

The "Now Playing" changes from what I've chosen after the ad plays and usually jumps to the third video is the display of top videos. Adblock Plus doesn't appear to be the problem.

I have the same problem. The Xfinity videos do not play at all but all the rest will. You may find that the "improved" Mozilla Firefox browser is at fault. They're code is fussy about how well the viewed page is written. The same goes for other pages as well. I noticed that some pages on Ebay don't open either. I have tried Chrome and Internet Explorer (caugh, gag, gag) with no problems. What happened to Firefox? It is really starting to suck!

Because it works in other browsers, the issue is that there is something in Firefox that is blocking videos from playing.
Try disabling all ad blocking add-ons and plug-ins in Firefox and then try watching videos again.
Let me know the results.

Try using a different web browser besides Google Chrome and let me know if it works. This is not a permanent solution but it will help us narrow down your issue.

I'v had a smilar but maybe a different problem for at least 3 months. Whenver I try to click on the featured Video to see it, I get the Jimmy Kimmel show. For instance today's teaser video was "Reporter Makes Embassing comment". To the right of the video is a link that says "what did she say". I click on it, Jimmy Kimmel program starts loading up. I cancel that and click on the video itself, Jimmy Kimmel again. I gave up trying to see the main video 3 months ago since it always does this....Anyone know why?

The "Reporter ..." reference was to a clip from the Jimmy Kimmel show, since it was in the Kimmel portion, rather than the Top Videos portion.
