Which steps are not completed according to the profile set-up?
Thanks,

Hi Comcast Joe sorry to take so long to respond...
It does not tell me which steps are not completed. On the progress bar in upper right hand corner it is about 90% complete.
Maybe this is why when I set up series to record on my dvr via the online site, it never registers to the dvr. Everything else works i.e. change channel, watch instantly...but when you select record it never seems to register to the dvr.
Not sure how all this affects my service other then inability to set up recordings via my pc.
Here are other problems that happen constantly and I am not sure why..
Not sure if they have anything to do with me not completing setup probably not. It is annoying though the money we pay and it is poor audio 10-15% of the time. Not the end of the world but a concern.
I am thoroughly pleased with the amount of program info streaming movies etc. I come from hughesnet and they had a fair access policy that would never allow any streaming like this. I am happy with service... Just trying to tweak it all...
You are more then welcome to go on my account and see what's happening. Just let me know and I will give you the PW if that is required.
Thanks for your help sorry I can't figure it out for myself..

- Serious sync issues on many HD channels (voices and mouth don't match)
- moderate but annoying distortion in the form of a white noise seems to happen along with the sync.

To the right of the profile Set-up bar, you will see a dropdown arrow. This will tell you what step has not been completed. Please try the step yourself. If it still does not work, please tell me what the step is and I will further help you.
Thanks,
Joe

I went to the drop down Menu to the right of the profile progress bar. there are 2 options
1. learn about xfinity connect
2. complete set up.
OK so i first went to the item learn about xfinity connect and read it nothing to do there
next i went back to the drop down menu and tried the other option which is "complete profile set up"
a new window opens and lists all the steps to complete and has a green check mark next to the ones that are completed. All of them are complete. I went through them again and followed all instructions. when I exit it says "you can come back and finish profile at any time"
I have tried it now at least 3 times and can not complete it.
The dvr responds to channel changing, and it also sets up a que to record but the recorded programs dont show up on the dvr....
thanks

Go here and look to the top-right of the page. Try finishing the steps under Profile Setup and see if it registers.

I followed the link you provided thanks...it led me through the same steps again and final message was come back and complete any time. each item in the check list was checked green again and it dosent indicate what is not complete. It also reads I am 90 % done. Sorry I just cant seem to figure it out.

I'm having the same problem. The service area will not save, no matter what I do. I searched this issue, found a number of others with the same problem and have tried all the suggestions given by Comcast support. All to no avail. Also, it's funny how there doesn't ever seem to be any of the other posters who have said "ok, that was it, thanks!" Instead, the threads end with no solution.
Anyone?

My service area will not save either. Kind of frustrating. I'd like to get this profile completed.

I guess this is something they just cant fix. I have tried everything. I guess I will have to just ask for a reduced rate on my bill since all services are not available that I pay for
