When I open a show from the guide I only have the the "watch now" button. I have lost the "record" button. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Is it because I downgraded from the triple play to just tv? I have Century link for internet now.
iPhone 4s
iOS 5
Xfinity app v. 1.12

Try unplugging your box for a minute or so and then plug it back in.
I suggest you do this before you leave the house or before you go to bed. It takes some time for the grid to fully load and for the cable box to fully sync back up again.
After you have done this, please try again and let me know the results.
Thanks,
Joe

so when you open the tv listings and click on a show when it opens is all you see the watch on tv button no record? You do have a comcast DVR correct? If yes have you tried clearing out the app by going to settings and then to the app and then clear data? If yes, try deleting the app and downloading it again.
Are you on ios 5.1.1? that is the most current.

Hi rog
I do have a comcast DVR. I do have iOS 5.1.1. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app twice. Unpluged the DVR Everything was working fine until a couple of weeks ago (about the time I downgraded to just cable). when I try to "test" the DVR in the app settings the name of the DVR does not show up on the screen. It does come up when I open the app though. The app also does not show scheduled recordings.

Are you able to set recordings through your TV on your DVR?
Thanks,

I have the same issue. It worked on my old Comcast account, but when I moved and setup a new account, I no longer have the record button and it shows that no recordings are scheduled for the next 14 days, which is incorrect.
Already unplugged the box and reinstalled the iPad app many times.

Yes, I am able to set recordings through my TV on my DVR?. I also show no recordings for the next 14 days on the app, but I do have future recordings on my DVR.

I sent a hit to your box. Please uninstall and re-install the app again. A resolution can take up to 6 hours. If problem is not resolved after that time, please let me know.

I uninstalled/reinstalled the app. I will test it in the morning and let you know.

I fired up the app this morning and still no record button or scheduled recordings. As a side note my wife reminded me last night that our "On demand" has not worked for weeks. We get an "error 7" code. I was on the phone with Comcast last night and they zapped our box a couple of times and I checked "On demand" this morning and that still doesn't work either.

The guy from Comcast came out for the on demand problem and found a loose connection in the box out in the yard. On demand working. I uninstalled/reinstalled the app and it didn't work at first. I waited a day and tried it again and it works. Go figure, a loose connection.
