Watch XFinity tv in Canada

I get an error message when I try to play video content on my iPad when I'm in Canada. The full menu and DVR feature show but I can't watch. Is the service only available if you are physically within the US only.

Comcast online content is not available outside the US mostly due to program licensing requirements.
