My xfinity tv app will not let me change channels. I am signed in and using the only cable box in the house... when I navigate to a channel and select wtch on TV I am greeted with this, "Sorry! An error occurered during this request." The remote I got with my box sucks and I wouldn't mind if my phone worked instead but now I have no way of changing channels!!

Just a couple of questions in regards to your problem. From what it sounds like the box are not communicating.
1. Has the application ever worked before if so what changes have you made since then?
2. Are you using a compatiable box you can check this link.http://customer.comcast.com/Pages/FAQViewer.aspx?s

4. If your names are long for your boxes try making them short.
5. Have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling it again?

Since Fancast is dead, you might consider updating that link to http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/rh.
