"watch on tv"l command not working oniPad

[ Edited ]
for the last couple of days, I can't usethe iPad to change channels. It looks like it is working but won't connect. Is that a bluetooth connection? I have to sign out and sign in all the time to get legitimate listings, but I've done that, rebooted, updated the app, all to no avail.

Go to your settings page and make sure the correct DVR is selected.

If it is still not working, try deleting the app then reinstall it and try again.

Let me know the results.

Re: "watch on tv"l command not working oniPad

Finally it started working again. I don't have DVR service. I tried a lot of things so I can't be sure what finally did the trick.

That's the problem with a great app -- we get spoiled and then cranky when it doesn't work like we're used to!

But why do I keep having to sign out and then sign back in to get the correct listings? Again, I've tried everything else but that's the only thing that works.

Try this and see if it sticks:

  1. Go to Settings on the bottom right of the app.
  2. Click Channel Lineup
  3. Instead of using the Comcast Recommended Lineup, click Add Location
  4. Make sure the zip code you manually entered is the one selected.

Let me know the results.
