I can not watch any shows or movies from premium chanels. I am loged in and I do get these chanels on my
tv. I am getting a error message that says:
We've experienced a playback error. (Error 570)
There appears to be a problem playing back video in this version of IE 9. Please try watching video using another web browser and try again.
I am using a mac and it fits all of the specifications on your website. I have tried using a different browser and still got the same message. I have also followed all the steps on your website to solve the problem and nothing has worked.
What do I do now?

Try using a different web browser and let me know if it works. This is not a permanent solution but it will help us narrow down your issue.

Maybe someone can answer this... Why is there a specific number (i.e. 570) correlating to an error if they do not know what the error is?
03-27-2012 03:07 PM
Still having the same problem. Running latest version of Firefox /Silverlight and Apache current. Today's latest rampage against me: A&E and TLC. The message: Error 570/Playback error on version of IE9/use another browser/try again. Have not used IE for several years (and refuse to use Chrome). This has been going on, random channels/movies, since the first of the year (on demand to laptop only so far) and seems to be increasing. My patience is wearing thin now. There must be a patch or something by now.
I was on the phone with three tech reps who were just dumfounded (3 hours and 27 minutes). Oddly, nothing that relates to the NBC family of channels seems to be affected . . . . . The first tech, Yvonne (on hold for 24 minutes) explained to me that she couldn't assist me as this was a problem for on-line chat. I referred Yvonne to this forum. No harm, no foul since the call was recorded.

Post got deleted so I'm resubmitting with some changes. I must have touched a nerve and offended somebody... As much money as Comcast makes I find it hilarious that they dont care about their customers satisfaction. - Is that better for you? Everyday that xfinitytv doesnt work just makes me want to cancel services more and more. - Again, is that wording better? I see post after post about this issue and still no resolution. I myself, have done all the same things that good ol' Comcast Joe has recommended and I'm still getting the error. I have uninstalled then reinstalled Silverlight. I've downloaded every stupid browser I can and still get the same error. How is it that "this version of IE9" applies when I'm using every other browser??? Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc. all have the same issue. I've even installed previous versions of IE and still get the same result. I refuse to call in for tech support on the issue since I know that Comcast themselves do not handle tech support. They instead have third party vendors impersonate Comcast. In short, error 570 is the same thing as S0A00 for Video On Demand so dont be surprised if this ever works again.

Can you give us some sort of answer?!
Thanks

I am trying to watch movies and/or tv shows and they keep stopping and saying I have to refresh; sometimes it just says sorry, the move cannot be played. I'm away from home so this is the only tv I have and it is very frustrating since I need tv to fall asleep!

Comcast Joe...I'm CAE3 at ASC, MS. This Error 570 issue seems to only affect Premium Content. I was able to play videos from all other networks. It appears to be similar to the issue that was once impacting IE9. My issue began just tonight after Google Chrome updated. Prior to the Chrome update, I was having intermittent problems loading browser pages (no site in particular). While troubleshooting issue, I went to "About Google Chrome" and it updated, correcting that problem but creating this Error 570 issue. I've pasted my system info above also. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Browser: Google Chrome 18.0.1025.142. I've also pasted my computer info above. Hope this helps resolve the issue. Thanks

Hi! I keep receiving Error 570 when trying to stream xfinity TV on Demand. It was working fine up until a week ago. I have uninstalled and re-installed microsoft silverlight and tried using multiple browsers (Chrome, Safari, and Firefox).
I have been trying to solve this problem for some time now. Can you please help me. Thank You!
04-02-2012 12:49 AM
me too with the error 570. I've deleted my browser history, temp files, cookies, and... ugh... saved passwords. At least I went back and wrote them all down on paper before I clicked "ok" on the "are you sure you want to..." scary part. But still no access. Same with YouTube, HBO Go and Xfinity. If I have to write it down on paper I might as well watch it on tv, throw out the remote, cancel Comcast subscription, get the rabbit ears out of the attic, wrap some tin foil around it and cross my fingers. Really, what's the difference?
