I've tried starting random videos out of several series/channels. So far the only thing that will play is episode 23 of Boardwalk Empire. No other episodes are working though apparently. Too bad I'm all caught up with that show. Makes it especially frustrating to find that one video I don't want to watch works while a half dozen other things I would settle for are all out of commission.
03-14-2012 03:51 AM
-Is this error happening across all browsers?
-If you have a second Comcast.net or Comcast ID account, have you tried signing in with it to see if videos work?
-Have videos been working on your computer in the past?
-Have any of you recently downloaded/updated anti-virus software?
-Yes. Tried Chrome 17, FF 10, IE8 on one computer. Tried IE 8, FF 9, Chrome 17 on a second computer.
-Yes. I have two logins and tried them both on both computers. Neither work.
-Yes. Both computers were working fine two days ago.
-No. No new AV updates.
As I said, I tried this on two Windows 7 Pro x64 machines with the various browsers listed above. I tried watching videos that I watched 2 days ago and I'm getting the error 3222 on those too! The usual clearing cache and cookies had no effect.
03-14-2012 03:51 AM
I am getting the same error across all videos, after trying all these steps, and trying three different log-ins.
This is utterly ridiculous.

None of those suggestions worked.
03-14-2012 04:02 AM
Just tried every episode of Boardwalk Empire, only episode 23, S02E11, works. The video starts up normally with no problems and seems to continue playing as usual. Really odd. Some of the stupid short clips and interviews for the show work as well. Tried all the browsers, silverlight, Windows update, etc. Pretty sure this is on Comcast's end and not ours collectively considering the random, though very limited, content that works just fine.

Comcast Joe, all if your suggestions are just the normal B.S you feed to everyone. I watch T.V on Comcast's website almost every night, but there are those nights with errors, instead of telling us to change browsers, update our drivers and all that other B.S. Just tell us how long its going to take for you guys to fix it! Thanks in advance,
Johnathan

I'm getting the error 3222 too.
I'm getting so sick and tired of Comcast. So much worse than Cox and Charter. I'm no network guru, but I know my way around. I frequently correct their techs, receive conflicting information, and have been flat out lied to....
"You are saying that when I sign up, I'll have UNLIMITED internet, right?"
"Yes sir"
.... 2 weeks later..,
"Why does my account say a 250GB cap?"
"All comcast accounts are capped at 250GB. But don't worry, very few customers come anywhere near that"
I almost never use cable, I watch Netflix (infrequent), Xfinity Streaming, and Hulu (partially owned by Comcast)... if I'm using your cable service, why does Hulu/Xfinity bandwidth count against my cap? I now understand why people pirate... download it once to hard drive, watch it as often as you like without "hogging/being an 'over user' of bandwidth".
Don't even get me started on their support of SOPA/PIPA...
Back on topic, I'm getting this video on some videos and not others. NEWS FLASH: If some play and some don't, it's not a video driver issue, it's not my cache, it's not my cookies... it's your goddamn DRM tripping over itself or shoddy work on your back end (see Dexter being on the "Watch Every Episode" section 5 weeks after pulling all but the current season. Thanks for that, now I have no interest in the current season or keeping Showtime.)
Do I expect to get any help? No, I lost that expecation 12 hrs into a myriad of failed tech support. At this point, I'm just hoping others see my gripes and complain too. I'm sure this will be cencored, but that's OK. If it is, I have sites with 100x the traffic to post it too (along with a link to this topic).
Get it together Comcast.

Second day of this. Why am I paying for something I cannot use. I have my shows in my queue and cannot watch any of them I don't own a tv so this is all I have. I have tried every suggestion that you guys have made and nothing works. Fix this or lose customers to skybeam and other internet providers that have tv I would rather pay for a bundle package of internet and phone that works then to pay for one that doesn't.
03-14-2012 03:19 PM
So you fixed this one guys problem... but what is going on with the "error 3222" problem that a thousand people seem to be having? I notice you havent even posted to that thread today!
And I STILL can't watch streaming video!
Richard

I started having this problem yesterday, not sure if this was offered as a fix yet but seemed to work for me.
I reset my internet explorer. to do this.
option 1.
open IE
Go to tools option up top
select internet options
go to the advanced tab
hit reset
close all IE's you may have open
try to see if it worked.
option 2
hit start
Windows XP hit run windows vista/7 click in the search box
type inetcpl.cpl then enter
this opens internet options.
this will wipe out all saved logins on sites, histories and all that jazz. hope this helps some.

So today I finally got to watch a video. I was able to get through one full hour long episode on HBO then half way through the second episode I was suddenly cut off and started getting 8002 errors which I've pasted below.
This video cannot be played.
Sorry, this video is currently unavailable. (Error 8002)
Please check back soon
Nice, eh? Move from one problem to another. Yes I tried the usual B.S. with clearing the cache and cookies and logging in under my other Comcast login, blah blah blah. Same B.S., different day.
03-15-2012 03:53 AM
it works now , it most of been on or end
03-16-2012 10:58 PM
I tried it in FF10. It didn't work so I cleared the cookies and cache. It still didn't work so I tried it in IE9. It still didn't work.
I saw other episodes of the same show before this one failed and other episoded after this one failed. It's not my browser, It's not my connection, I don't need to reboot the computer.
03-17-2012 09:41 PM
I am getting this 3222 error. I already tried usign Internet Explorer Version 8 as well as clearing the cookies, cache, etc., and the problem is still there. I also tied firefox and the same error. I also tried a different computer and get the same error. The only movies that seem to work are the ones from HULU which are not worth anyones time. Anyway, this is really frustrating that this thing has so many problems. There seems to always be something wrong with this xfinity TV.
03-18-2012 10:01 PM
This is crapola or basura. It does not work no matter what browser, what computer, what anything. Everyone should demand their money back. It is really frustrating.
03-18-2012 11:36 PM
I got an email saying there was a response, but I can't find it here.
BTW, the problem was with Countdown With Keith Olbermann episode 54. All other episodes will load and play.
03-19-2012 11:07 AM
So typical of Comcast. I didn't do anything and I do NOT get the 3222 message any longer. So what does that tell us? It's like my Comcast cable service I still get pixilation (tiling) in my TV even after Comcast check all the cables, units inside and everything is in working order, so they had to change the outside cable. This reduced it, but didn't stop it.
So Comcast has customers doing all these "tricks" when the problem is with Comcast itself. How else could I not be receiving 322 messages without my doing anything? And I pay all this money for increase in commercials not only on cable TV, but also on line. Looks like I'll be doing away with cable TV and maybe even Internet connection.
03-21-2012 11:41 AM
I've tried everything that you recommend and I'm still getting the error 3222 message. ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?
03-22-2012 01:45 PM
it's still not workinng & it's really annoying.
03-23-2012 11:30 AM
I've followed all directions that you have given regarding the 3222 error message. It seems that I'm getting this when I try and watch all premium channels. The major networks seems to be ok. Customer service is no help and does not understand what I'm even talking about.
03-25-2012 10:41 PM
Joe, I have Mozilla Firefox 11 and this is happening. It really doesnt seem to be a problem with teh cache or cookies sinece they been deleted. I also deleted Java and reinstalled that. NO Help. WTH?
03-26-2012 12:58 AM
i have a dell studio laptop and it always says error 3222. i've deleted cookies and all but it won't let me watched anything
03-29-2012 09:45 PM
This error occurs at least 15-20 times per week for me. None of the steps to fix it work. I'm 1 (3222) message away from unsubscribing from xfinity comcast.
I use Google Chrome, i take all the neccessary steps to fix it and it still doesn't work. Sometimes it happens when i try to start a show or movie, other times it will happen right in the middle of a show.. i'm fed up
03-30-2012 04:11 PM
Tried all suggestions, still getting the dreaded 3222 error... Does not matter where I am, what system or browser I use...
03-31-2012 11:58 AM
Recently, whenever I try to watch a video on xfinity that is not provided by hulu, I get an error 3222 message. I have tried the steps provided several times, but nothing happened. I think that this is a problem on Comcast's end.
04-02-2012 08:04 AM
I can't watch videos and I am wondering when Comcast will do something about this problem.
04-02-2012 07:21 PM
Well I am now getting this same 3222 Error. I have deleted browser cache and history, restarted the browser: IE9 and also used refresh multiple times. I have tried this on multiple PC's on multiple accounts and recieve the same error on all of them.
It is not a video card driver error. it is not a Silverlight error as I have re-installed it as well. Please figure out what the problem actually is and repair it on your end. I am currently getting this error only on Entourage Season 6 Episode 8. Other episodes work fine, which makes it quite obvious it is not an issue on my end. If it were, none of the videos would play.
Please do not ignore your customers. Figure out the issue, repair it and advise the consumers of the fix. Do not point us to a forum posting in which you leave no response.
04-07-2012 03:23 PM
I tried all the steps. Nothing worked.
I normally use Firefox. I also tried Safari, but it didn't work either.
I'm trying to watch Thundercats.
I hope they can fix this soon. Please help.

Hi all,
Are you connected to the Internet wirelessly, wired through a router, or wired straight into a modem?
Where are you trying to watch videos from? Work? Home? Cafe? etc.
Thanks,
Joe

Try using a wired connection and see if videos are working. I recommended running the wire directly from your modem into your computer. If not, try running a wire from your router (if your wireless router even has ports...I have noticed not all do anymore) to your computer.
Also, if possible, try watching videos on another wireless connection like at a Starbucks or anywhere with free Wi-Fi
Let me know the results.
Thanks,
Joe

Tried everything but didn't work. Had watched about 10 min of a 45 min show when the error came up on screen.
04-11-2012 05:17 AM
I have tried clearing the cache, clearing the history, restarted the browser, and removed and redownloaded silverlight. I have also tried using a different login and a different computer on a different network. I even went as far as a complete reset of my computer to factory setting and still could no watch videos online. It has been a week and comcast has made no progress in fixing the problem other than generic troubleshooting rhetoric. If this problem is not fixed soon or I am not supplied with an adequate anwser or time frame I will be switching providers in my personal life and since I handle vendor contracts for my company I will be switching from comcast as soon as our current contract is up.

I have tried multiple different computers, Win7, XP, unbuntu, from different locations, using multiple browsers, Wired & Wireless, still does not work !
Comcast must not have any change control management in place. They should be looking at the time when they started to receive these complaints, and correlate what changes took place in their network around that time.

I was having the same troubbles with the 3222 error earlier this week but earllier today it was fine and now its all snafu again. also the system no longer allows me access to the HBO go shows eventhough i am still a suscriber.

Hi, the above link to Grey's Anatomy show number 502 is not working - I tried the different browsers listed above, tried clearing browser cache and history, restarting browser and computer, nothing is working; other episodes playing fine. Is there any way to fix the issue on the link?
Thanks

Grey's Season 5, episode 2 should now be working.
We are still looking into this error. I am sorry I do not have an update about the other 3222 errors right now. Thank you for your feedback; it has been helpful.
