I tried the steps to get "The Wire" back via my wireless laptop at home - the Error 3222 message is a constant now. I was good for a few months until the sudden problem. What is going on? Is this a Comcast problem that is still being resolved? I have been down for about a week now. Please help. Should I just uninstall everything and start over?

I have done everything it asks. I use Firefox. Even downloaded Google Chrome. Still getting the message. I think its just that the system for watching movies sucks.
ComcastJoe wrote:Hi all,
Our team is currently investigating the spike in Error 3222 when trying to watch a video. In the meantime, please try these steps and tell us if the error still occurs:
- Clear your browser’s cache
- Clear your browser’s cookies
- Restart your browser
- Attempt to re-watch the same video that was previously resulting in an error.
If the steps above do not work, please try using one of these three browsers that you do not use and see if videos play properly: Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox
Please let us know your results.
Thanks,

I tried IE, Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome and am still getting this error message. Very frustrated.

Hi,
Not working for me in Firefox today for the first time, after having been fine until then. Trying to play a queued movie, then another with Error 3222 coming up. Probably watched a queued item 1-2 days ago in FF.
Clearing cache, cookies, restarting browser, with same movie did not work. In the past couple of days, I have updated and run spybot, malwarebytes for the first time in a month sometime in the last week (not today or yesterday though). I have MS Security Essentials going on continuously.
Tried in IE though, and it does work for same movie. Hope that helps narrow this down. Given that this issue has been 4 months since first reported, and seems to be still hot, can you give your readers/customers a substantive update today (end of the week), and at least every other week or weekly thereafter?

Come on! Would you guys get your act together please? I am tired of your lame excuses and from reading all of the other posts on this subject so are a lot of your subscribers. This has been going on for some time now without any solution, this is not an issue of subscribers error this is on your end! If I am paying for a service for which I am not receiving then where is my credit? Why hasn't this error been corrected? This has been going on for over a month. I have called customer service, tech service and they say that its is my modem that is the problem. I cannot beleive that everyone that has posted in this forum has a bad modem, really? Get your act together and start showing us the level of service that you advertise on TV, or is what you claim just BS to get new customers? Should I go else where to get what I want?

Why can't I just click a link and watch this video? What's the problem? Does xfinity actually suck, or is it my problem?

I have tried all the steps you guys have provided, including using Safari and Google Chrom, but it still does not work.
05-05-2012 02:41 PM
It worked once in Firefox, and still hasn't worked in Chrome.
Come on, it was working perfectly fine last week, what happened?
Does anyone have a solution that actually WORKS?

Like EVERYONE else who has Comcast, I constantly get the 3222 error message. I have tried everything "Joe" has suggested over and over and over again to no avail. Here's the interesting part - I just streamed an episode of CSI with no problem at all. But True Blood? 3222. Deadwood 3222. Mad Men? 3222. Why would this be? It makes no sense whatsoever. I am so sick of Comcast. Between the outages, EXTREMELY slow up and download times (despite paying "extra" for the high speed connection), and the inability to watch shows online, I am not getting what I pay for. I have recently filed a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General. Basically, Comcast is taking our money and not providing the service, which is ILLEGAL! I suggest all of you do the same!

In case this is an issue with certain videos.

This seems to be a browser issue. Download CCleaner (search Google) and use the tool to clear all the information from whatever browser you're using. This should clear up the issue.

Queen Evie did you even check the post I left. I tried everything you posted. It is not all streaming it is just certain shows or movies. I have worked with other Tech specialist via phone or internet fixing problems so quit treating people like they don't know how to follow directions. Before I posted I checked all help and posts to fix my own problem. Try getting us some one how can fix the problem.
05-11-2012 02:14 PM
I simply posted what COMCAST has to say about the issue. If it doesn't work, then other things have to be tried.
Never did I treat ANYONE like they don't know how to follow directions.
YOU might have checked all help and posts to fix fix the problem but others may not have done that.

None of "Entourage" is working. I have tried all browsers, reinstalled, used Mac OSX and Windows 7.
None of them work.

Link to all Entourage seasons.

I have been going through Entourage with minimal problems (reinstall Silverlight twice) until today - episode 74 will not play on any browser or any computer, but episodes 73 and 75 play fine. I have tried all of the tricks and no success.
Please ask the "team" to correct this problem so I can continue watching.
05-16-2012 09:40 PM
As of 6pm 5-17-2012 this is still a problem except now I get an error 3001 message. So I called billing and asked if they thought it fair that I recieve their service without paying? Of course they thought not, so I then explained how I am paying for a service that I am not receiving and again asked if they thought this fair? Bottom line is such that they credited me $50.00 for the Error message issue. I will continue to call and remind them of this issue expecting a credit everytime I call. I urge all to do the same until Comcast Xfinity makes this a priority to repair.

Make sure that you are allowing pop-ups and that you are also allowing XfinityTV.com and Silverlight to pass through your firewall.
Also, try loosening your anti-virus settings and see if it works.

I had the same problem and the fix was easy. simply access the internet with windows 32 bit access instead of 64 bit access and all videos will work.
05-18-2012 05:31 PM
I had a problem getting my online videos to work even though they were working earlier. I realized that I had somehow started logging on the internet with windows 64 bit access. I started logging on with 32 bit access and all of the videos are working properly.

This is the worst service I have ever had. How could a billion dollar company tell you that you have to upgrade your player and not give you a link to do it!? How can you expect people to pay for services you can't and clearly aren't trying to fix. I get the "upgrade player" message on IE 9 and ERROR 3222 on Chrome. Fix this issue Comcast. You seem to have a lot of upset people and are doing nothing about it.

I Tried Chrome and Explorer, and deleted all my data; and still none of the movies will work, they all proceed to produce the 3222 error.
