Having issue watching several different shows, and this is just the information from one of them.

This error message could be a problem on comcast end with maybe the way it was loaded on the server.

I have deleted my cookies and cache, and restarted Google Chrome, and that didn't help either. How did the other forum members get "Device Information" of the sort shown here? I am not familiar with that Device Information configuration.
I have Silverlight version 5.1.10516.0 . I was referred to the Microsoft link from this forum. Thank you in advance for your help with this matter. X-finity HBO and pay channels played on this same computer in Google Chrome and IE 9 (32-bit) only a few months ago, when I tried to get a user name for HBO.com Community, something HBO and Comcast has been unable to provide me with since February 2012. I have been a member of the HBO.com community for over 10 years, and now I can't login or read the community posts there, and nobody at Comcast or the HBO phone number in New York City (the rudest female animal dog you will ever meet) will restore my ability to visit the HBO.com online Community again since February, although I was able to use HBO Go in February 2012 through May 2012 as well. The HBO Customer Service Rep yells at me with a New Jersey accent, sounds like a mafia wife or Theresa Guidice from Real Housewives, and tells me to, "shut up, and hurry up, and spit it out, and are you there!!!!" in that whiny, trashy, low-life NJ accent. I subscribed to HBO from 2000 until now, with a short break in 2003-2004 about 8 months, when I was homeless between getting disabled and my Social Security Disability Income and public housing kicking in, I am life-threateningly ill, and spend part of each month in the hospital.
In January 2012 when my cable bill finally went up to $237 a month, I tried to drop some services to reduce the cost of my bill. Not one knowledgable person could come through, or keep a billing promise. It was a beloved nightmare on Elm street, except Freddy Kreuger was on the other end of the phone, and sounded like he had moved from Nebraska, to an outsourced call center in India just one month into the ordeal. I never called back to billing again, but Technical Support yes, I was still getting people that sounded like they spoke American. AT least pay extra for the call centers where the Indian call center employeees take classes to speak with an American English accent, you can get those, they even take American names, as you lay off all the Call Centers in California and every place else, when there are no jobs for people who need them here, and Comcast's profit margin isn't hurting the stockholders.
Since a cab driver stole my cell phone while I was removing packages from his cab and drove off before I was done getting things out of the cab in October 2011, and the police forbade me to use Public Transportation (they were too lazy to take a report, and Metro Cab in Denver won't do anything after I have been kidnapped and robbed of cash in their cabs twice, because of my physical disability, and thrown into the street in a remote location), I can't hear on my new cellphone anymore, my stolen one was a prototype made specially for me by Motorola in 2008, and it still worked on my cellphone network, so it's hard to listen to broken English on a new overpriced flip-phone with no volume or sound, I could have gotten a smartphone for the same price they charged me for it., it's especially difficult when they don't let you listen to them before you buy them, and I can't qualitfy for a hearing Aid yet, but can't hear on most cellphones (or landlines) either (or people in the room talking to me, I blast the TV really loud just to hear like a normal person). I won't throw away money to pay for X-finity voice and a cellphone, I can't buy groceries on SSDI and pay for cable, so I just don't eat, so it's a cellphone only since I need to reach the cab company from my doctor appointments.
The same cab driver picked me up about a month ago, and said, "where were you, I tried and tried to return your phone to you after you contacted Metro cab office?" I am shut-in, he never tried, he thought he would never be sent out to pick me up again.
My friends feed me, they know Cable TV and internet desktop computer is my only end of life wish. X-finity voice is the most overpriced phone service on a dedicated network online, it's a sin what they charge, it shouldn't be more than $5 a month for the infastructure already being in place just to provide internet access anyway, and Comcast owns their own gateways to the phone lines.
Sorry off-topic again. Just want to see what to do to get pay TV channels back on X-finity TV online again. I realize you are unpaid volunteers, so thank you in advance for trying to answer my questions.

I can watch some videos but not others... today I watched multiple Covert Affairs videos but I can't watch any Rizzoli and Isles or Franklin and Bash. I have cleared cookies and cache, checked firewall AND used a different browser... Comcast needs to figure this stuff out!

I can play NBC, fox and any networks that don't require a subscription. When I try HBO or others needing a sub (which I have) the browser starts to load but gives a 3222 error message. I've cleaned cookies and cache. What now?

Hey everybody, I was experiencing the same problem. I got rid of it when I changed my internet connection settings. I used ultrasurf as a proxy before and the settings of ultrasurf where still active. So I went to internet options - connections - lan settings - and removed the check for proxy an checked automatically detect settings.
worked for me at least...

I tried with IE, followed the steps, nothing. Tried with Firefox, followed the steps, nothing. Still get 3222 no matter what. Trying to watch Heros, season 3, episode 24 "I am Sylar". And with the number of posts that are reporting the same issues I have to believe that there is a problem with Xfinity's side of this. Just a thought here, but maybe the resolution should come from Xfinity's end instead of making the user's install/uninstall/download yatta yatta yatta.... more "hoops" to jump through just to watch a show. This isn't making it easy for your customers to enjoy their services. ![]()

I agree with ccrider32759.
It's tough when something on xfinity breaks and they don't realize it, so they make the customers clear, reboot, reinstall to no avail.
Fortunately for me, since I was able to watch all the other clips and videos, I watched the individual clips that made up the daily show for that day instead of the episode in its entirety.
I realize that solution wouldn't work for other shows that other people are having difficulty with.

Hi all,
This error you are experiencing is indicative of your computer having issues downloading certain files at the start of playback. This can be caused by a firewall or proxy.
Please check your firewall settings and make sure that you are allowing XFINITYTV.com and XFINITY.com to pass through your firewall.
In addition, please try these steps below
If the steps above do not work, please try using one of these three browsers that you do not use and see if videos play properly: Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox.
Also, please make sure that you have our patched version of Silverlight installed. This version resolves many video playback issues.
First, completely uninstall Silverlight from your computer. Then download and install Silverlight from the appropriate link below:
Please let us know your results.

I have this eror message and others all week. I also get # 573 which tells me to dump my flash player and reinstall, did that. Then I get 3222. If by some chance a video does play, it will stop 10 minutes in and tell me that this video is not available, even though I was just watching it. I have premium package but not premium service.

Can not view video on line. Followed your trouble shooting-
1) deleted cookies in cache and browser
2) Uninstalled silverlight ONLY to be asked to install it again when choosing breaking bad episode.

Been getting error 3222 for the last few days but not on everything I try to access. South Park won't play, Big Bang won't play, others also, haven't been able to get any movie to play. Other programs play fine. Have tried everything I 've been able to find on the forum and web searches with no luck. Reinstalled Silver Light several times, checked the DRM after each install. Cleared all browser data many times. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem. No matter what I do, I simply cannot watch anything on my laptop. This is bad news, my wife and I used to watch True Blood but we're behind now. Like you, I've followed all the steps listed (uninstall, check DRM, clear browser cache) nothing solves the problem.

Have done everything suggested on this site and through internet searches. Modified firewall to allow xfinity traffic, disabled firewalls, stopped security software, replaced silverlight, deleted cookies, tried different browsers...nothing seems to work. Go to bed one night it's working fine wake up the next morning it's not and can't get to work. Some channels work fine: ABC, CBS, CW, Discovery, Fox, FX, NBS, National Geo, PBS, Syfy. Some channels do not work: BBC, AMC, Comedy Central, H2, History Channel, TBS, TNT. Souldn't be this hard. Can you guys help or not?

I get this error message whenever I try to play a TNT show or BBC America show, but can play shows from abc, cbs and nbc with no problem. It says to clear my cache and cookies, I do that before I log out every time I log out so that is not the issue. I have signed out and signed in and that doesn't clear it. I usually end up going to TNT to watch the show and have no problems there but some of these cable channels don't offer to let you watch the show after its aired expect on here. What is going on?

Everytime I try to watch videos online, i get a message that say's "video cannot be played" I've tried multiple videos and all do the same thing. It says to delete my cookies and such, and i did that, i restarted my computer, and restarted the browser, still......NOTHING.

I'm trying to watch any video supported by Comcast. i.e. any cable program that is not HULU. For example Boardwalk Empire S3 E1, Newsroom, various movies.... etc, etc etc... There is no issue with my computer and to see all this posts, something is clearly wrong. I deleted all cookies, history, etc. Deleted Silverlight and re-installed and diabled firewall. I tried this on multiple computers and the videos won't load. I tried your customer service last nite and was on hold for 45 mins, then finally hung up. I'm only a Comcast customer still because of the online content. If this isn't resolved ASAP, I will leave.

I'm getting this error message on multiple networks. I can get ESPN and some other things to work, but I want to watch a game on PAC-12 Network in a couple hours.
I have tried deleting caches and cookies, I have tried multiple browsers, I have tried re-installing Silverlight, I have tried disabling AdBlock... Nothing works. Clearly it's not on my end, why can't Comcast fix this? Not sure why I am paying such a steep cable bill for this kind of service.

Tried all of your suggestions to no avail. Tried the episode after the Error 3222 message, and it worked fine. Looks like it's on Comcast's end. BTW, Heroes: S3 | Ep24I Am SylarAirdate: 4/20/09 is the culprit.
