Receive Error 900|101000.101004.101005 While Watching Online

I'm 9 minutes from finishing watching Spartacus: Gods of the Arena Episode 6 "The Bitter End" when I receive this message:

Sorry, we've experienced some difficulty playing your video.

Please refresh this page in your browser to try again.

(Error 900|101000.101004.101005)

Refreshing didn't help. I tried closing and reopening my Firefox browser but that didn't help either. I tried it in IE9 with the same result. Please help!

Re: Receive Error 900|101000.101004.101005 While Watching Online

I receive the same error for ANY show I try to watch online... The Walking Dead, Dexter, or Spartacus.  It is getting quite frustrating.  It reads the same... (Error 900|101000.101004.101005) and wants me to refresh.  Refreshing results in the ad of course playing quite well and then nothing.  What I have found is I have better luck with the lower quality but even that doesn't prevent the error all of the time... only delays the inevitable as I can't get through any single episode of anything anymore.  A friends laptop followed this same trend when we tested it... low quality seemed to delay the issue but it still happened.  Any why pay for HD when you can't even get it.  I did the Xfinity speed test at speedtest.comcast.net and average a 47Mbps on 2 different servers.  I have zero issues watching on my phone though.  I shouldn't have to resort to the small screen and limit my viewing experience when this is not free stuff here.

I have read through so many forums and found supposed causes anywhere from some versions of Flash Player not being compatible to secondary account holders aren't authorized to view anything rated MA.  I've also read of some who have similar errors as the only email account active with their service.  There is no rhyme or reason to it that I can find yet.

What I did find consistent in the forums so far is Comcast Joe.  He always asks for the info from xfinitytv.com/computer and links for the shows and when they are sent, there never seems to be a reply back with any resolution or possible cause.  I just don't get it.  The details submitted by everyone also vary with the answer to primary account holder being both true and false.  Please fix this Comcast.  There are a lot of customers out there being impacted by this issue.

Re: Receive Error 900|101000.101004.101005 While Watching Online

So any new news?  Is this still problem for others as I just experienced these errors on my machine - previously a few days ago no issues except having to reduce quality to avoid stuttering playback. I don't recall any updates installed between then and now.

I won't chime in with any specs as I don't wish to confuse the original posters issues- just adding myself to the list experiencing this error.

Re: Receive Error 900|101000.101004.101005 While Watching Online

Hi all,

We have been working with Adobe and found a way to narrow down these errors. We have not resolved the issue completely but have decreased the number of 900|101000.101004.101005 significantly. Our team is still working on ways to completely resolve this error.

Please let me know if you keep seeing this error consistently.

Thanks,

Nice of you to reply, but your suggestion to go to HBO site only works if HBO is the channel you are trying to watch - in my case I was using StreamPix.  The error seems to be intermittent and perhaps at the moment is corrected as I did not receive any errors yesterday.

Re: Receive Error 900|101000.101004.101005 While Watching Online

Thanks for coming back to update - at least this shows some hint of being looked at ;-)
As I mentioned to previous poster, my issue has seemed to be fixed at least for the moment as I was able to watch some programs last night.

I do agree it would be something to do with adobe - and I am guessing its interaction with the licensing as I did not have problem on other computers the same day I had issues on the one I actually wanted to view.
Hopefully this continues to work.

As a side note - I would like to see an option that keeps the video full screen when switching to next episode.  I use this where I do not have a full service cable box in my home - mostly background distraction while doing work so having to stop and resize the screen each episode is a nuisance.  Also it requires that I re-enable optimize for "speed" instead of quality of image - since on that computer their is a little bit of choppiness at full quality (which doesn't make sense for the specs of my computer, but that's another topic).  So toss that into the suggestion box if you can.

Re: Receive Error 900|101000.101004.101005 While Watching Online

The comercials play fine though. i wander if the comercial system is messing it up. when you fist start the show. you get a commercial. then the show starts for 1 second to be interupted by another commercial. then show starts again. about 3 seconds (Error 900|101000.101004.101005). so i hit refresh only to get 2 more commercials. then (Error 900|101000.101004.101005)again.

I too am getting Error 900|101000.101004.101005 while watching online.  Just started using the online side in the past couple days.  Watched the first season of Copper without incident, but when going over to Ripper Street episode 2 I have started getting the error.  The commercials typically play fine though I have had a couple freeze up.  It seems to be happening in ab out 5 minute intervals forme.

Re: Receive Error 900|101000.101004.101005 While Watching Online

I first received this error about 20 minutes ago, tried switching browsers and it did not help. I have only two more episodes of Dexter to watch and I'll be completely done with all the episodes!! This is really frustrating, I have a Macbook pro, snow leopard, OS 10.6, with firefox and safari (both browsers would not play Dexter and received the same error on both). Everything has been updated, including java and flash.

Re: Receive Error 900|101000.101004.101005 While Watching Online

Still recieving the error, a few extra notes.

1. While originally it was about every 5 minutes, it appears to be sporadic.  I've watched 10-15 minutes of an episode without a problem, and then turned around and only gotten 20 seconds before it happened again.

2. It does not appear to correspond to anything in particular like ads, or certain time periods in an episode.

3. Each time it happens and I use refresh to get back to the episode it is anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes before the crash happened.

I'm not sure if there is any information about my browser or my machine that I can offer that may be of help, but some more correspondence about this from the Comcast Staff would be nice.

Hi all,

We are aware that this issue is occurring and our team is working hard on a permanent solution.

We thought we have tackled this error with Adobe earlier this month but this issue is reoccurring.

At this time, I have no additional information but I will update this thread when I learn of anymore information.

Thanks,

Still not fixed... Happens in multiple browsers, (Chrome or Firefox), Win 7 64 AND 32 bit installations.

Hulu and everyone else's streaming works fine.  What's wrong with Comcast.  Is it just to make us watch more commercials every time we have to reload?

I got this message as well watching The Muppets Movie.  It happened at specific point in the movie on two different browsers.  I cleared all browsing data on both and even restarted the computer.  Same spot at 8m 7s keeps giving me this error.  I can however skip over this and it will let me watch the rest of the movie.

I also started receiving this message today and it literally happens every 10 minutes through an episode. I've been trying to watch a show all day long and every episode this error message is getting increasingly worse. I've tried updating my plugins, deleting malware, restarting the computer, trying different browsers - nothing.

It at least used to wait until about half way through the episode to start puttering and skipping and eventually lead to this message but now, not even 3 minutes in and I'm getting this message. UGH!

So yeah. Started getting this today too. First for Showtime series and then for Travel Channel. I'm unable to go two minutes into a show without seeing the error and have tried multiple browsers (Firefox being my main), restarted, cleared cache, etc etc etc.

I received this message for the first time today and wanted to add myself to the list. I watching Archangel (S1 E1) on Showtime and as with other customers the error occured a the same place during . Watched several Showtime movies  with no problems. One thing that I also noticed is the show would not resume even it you seleced resume but instead would restart.

Is there specific information that users can provide that will assist in the trouble shooting???

These errors occur just before the commercials. The script trys to stop the stream and causes the error. Comcast have been payed for the show, I paid for the cable service, the show has been paid once by the sponsors, give us a break!

This error is becoming more frequent. You need to fix this soon. It honestly feels like you are trying to get more advertisment impressions; I'm sure your partners would love to hear about your shady practices. Seriously, this has been going on for months now.

I've also been receiving this error anytime I watch almost anything. Playback constantly hangs as well rendering the service unusable and fairly annoying.

I was able to watch most of Die Hard 3 the other night, but that was at 11pm. Is this some sort of peak usage issue? At any rate, I'm used to Netflix, which is about 90% up/reliable.

Same here. Getting this error now for a few days constantly every 3-4 minutes. Refreshing brings up the commercial ads which run without errors.

On here once again because after posting about this error yesterday, I cannot watch anything at all without getting this message in the first minute of streaming. I've tried different browser, different show, restart, resume, logging in, logging out. It doesnt seem to have any rhyme or reason.

Thoroughly irritated.

No kidding! I mean it's good to know that I'm not the only one having this problem, but this really is ridiculous and unacceptable. For a company as big as Comcast, this shouldn't even be happening. What's worse is it takes me an hour to watch a 30 minute episode, and 4 minutes before the episode is over that stupid error shows up. It has taken an extreme amount of self-control not to throw anything.

This is what pisssssses me off. I am getting the same error and called customer service. The woman I spoke with claimed to have "run some tests" and then said she hadn't heard of any issues with this problem. I told her to check the forums where it's happening frequently. For almost a week I've been watching every episode of Sex and the City and now I can't get through 3 minutes without having to refresh. I've now tried in Chrome, Firefox and now IE even. Same error on every single browser. Error 900|101000.101004.101005

Sadly,I just started having this issue as well.

I have had relatively few problems, but as of this minute I am unable to stream video on the Comcast site without receiving the message in the subject title.

Obviously Comcast is aware of it,so I just thought I'd put my name in the mix.

Too bad because I've enjoyed Steampix to date,it's a great service otherwise.

Thanks

Re: Receive Error 900|101000.101004.101005 While Watching Online

I received an e-mail notice of reply, but it was just another person submitting information.

If anyone at Comcast is reading this:  This does vary, sometimes (rarely) I can watch an entire show with no or minimal crashes, sometimes it happens every few minutes.  Sometimes I don't even get an error message (just a red flash, then a frozen browser window) and have to reload or restart the browser entirely.

Since I'm mostly watching BBC, every time I refresh it also forces at least 2 commercials on me each time.  This is just insult on top of injury.

I've updated the AMD video drivers on all 3 computers I use, and Flash is up-to-date.

However, if this is not resolved soon, between the computer On Demand, as well as the cable box On Demand not working half the time, I'm dropping Comcast video entirely and getting Dish again.

And regarding the cable box, I can tell that my local signal varies greatly, but never when service does a remote check or when on site is here.  And I don't have time and I'm not willing to deal with the lousy on-site service again.

For me this error only started this month Error 900|101000.101004.101005. It does not occur for Hung series or John Adams, but Madmen, and all Showtime programming is effected

It has to be something to do with silverlight or flashplayer, please make this a priority to fix.

Online xfinity movies are the only reason I stay with Comcast, will be switching to cheaper satellite soon if not fixed.
