Am I able at all to watch TV channels as is my tv (live) on my computer? I know we can stream shows and can use our computer as a remote for the tv, but can I just look at the listings and click on them to watch tv on my computer right there?

No, live TV is not available for streaming to a PC. Everything is a "demand" type programming.
It will be coming to some area's to stream on the home network to Apple IOS devices in the future.

The exception being ESPN which does stream live, provided you subscribe to the channel and you are signed in:

Be good if they could stream other live channels too though...![]()

Be excellent if someone would start live streaming TV , then someone could write script to delete commercials on the fly with time delay .

Hi all,
There are only five live channels available on xfinity.com/tv as of 7/6/12: CNN, HLN, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU. (CNN and HLN are currently not available do to an issue but will be back online shortly).
Our product team is constantly working on improving the site to make the best experience possible. Your suggestion of adding more live channels is something we'll consider for a future release.
Thanks,
Joe

Thanks Joe that would be great!
Can't help but feel we are behind the times here eg; Sky TV a satelite/ISP in England stream these live channels free to their customers:

Most countries in Europe have some kind of regular live TV streaming......
Just to add, if Sky and ISP's like them in other countries, can negotiate rights with American networks to stream live TV to their customers for free. I don't see why Comcast couldn't do the same for their customers in their own country.....!

the only company in america that does that is cablevision comcast has a trial in denver but you have to have another piece of hardware to do it. the cablevison one just works if you have the service.

Yes, looked at Cablevision, seems like they can stream all their channels live, wouldn't that be cool...?
