This is simply not true.  The network has nothing to do with this decision.  Greed and their stupid Xfinity app is the only reason you aren't able to access HBO Go.

I've had enough, I don't care if they offer it next week, it's the princible.  This was the last straw for me.  I'm fed up with their horrible customer service, unreasonable prices, and outdated scientific atlanta cable boxes.  Looking forward to the DirecTV install this Saturday.

Seriously?  All these news stories going around and still nothing from comcast as far as updates?  I tend to belive what's going on, but I can't belive how much comcast left their customers in the dark during the process.

So it looks like we'll have resolution to this issue soon...

I can only hope that this will apply to ALL devices. Comcast, if you're listening, don't neglect Roku or Samsung connected devices, even if the voices aren't as loud because of the smaller install base... those customers are equally upset.

And MaxGo too. It's just on the ipad/iphone/android... which you already allow for HBOGO. Please please please allow. XfinityTV is nice... but NOT equivalent.

Fingers crossed that all of these issues are gone by the end of the week.

Xbox now offers HBO go and as you know has many more movies, programs and shows that On demand, so when I try to set it up Xfinity nor Comcast appear in the provider list, so it doesn't work.

However the app for Xfinity is there and works.

Generally that is code for "This 3rd party has pretty bad security practices and we don't feel comfortable handing over subscriber info until you fix your software." If it *was* something like that, then why wouldn't have Comcast said something to that effect. When you make it sound like you are being evil, it makes you look evil. But if there were concerns with the way HBO handles customer data, saying something along those lines would actually make Comcast look good.

I've believed all along that this wasn't a one-sided "blocking" type situation, and there were things to work out on both sides of the fence. 

Didn't think it would end up being a privacy thing, thought they were being quiet because it was a "who pays how much" (Comcast or HBO) situation.  After the months delay for the app launching, I don't mind waiting a week or two more for it to work right.

I don't know where some of you heard this was a the security of any provider probably a rumor because this forum is about Comcast deciding not to be a provider on xbox for the HBOGO app, and in my opinion due to what Comcast has been saying themselves is because they thought their xfinity app would be enough foe their customers and also they wanted to get people using their app without the choice to use HBOGO, go back and read all 8 pages of this forum and you'll see what I mean, and read the NY TIMES article, also Reed Hastings(Ceo of Netflix ) facebook post, that's what this is about....

Comcast has proven they care nothing for their subscribers. They know that in most markets they will at least have you for Intenret service as normally there is no other cable company available to you. And they will just charge you so much for Internet if you don't have TV through thtem that it makes adding TV only like 20 bucks.

They know that not enough people will switch to Satellite for this very reason. They simply do not care. If they did, we would have more than some forum moderator sitting in his mother's basement telling us that 'talks are in the works. '

They do the sme if you just have TV to. I pay $175 for just TV with two cable cards (you don't get charged for them in the bay area though) and a cable box which I need to return. 

When I had comcast internet and phone my total bill was 200. Somehow since moving to comcast business class it krept back up there and now I pay $200 for business class internet and another $175 for TV.

Even with all that money flyinf your why comcast I can't use the xbox xfinity app. Why? Only because I have business class! Your shafting people like  who ACTUAL choose to pay you 4,800 a year (I Know I'm not the only who has a home office in 2012).

If I included our companies main office (my home office and regular office both have busisiness class internet from comcast) which has your 100megs/20megs connection at $400 a month!   Its insanity that even with $9,600 a year being paid from just one individual you couldn't have sealed this deal before it came out. 

Give me what I pay you for before I drop my residential TV for DirecTV. the only thing holding me here is TiVo and when direcTV finaly updates to the Tivo they now offer to the current Tivo Premier interface your gone.

Will it be available on Roku devices and Samsung Smart TV's, both of which have access to the HBO Go App but it is currently blocked by Comast?

yeah log into comcast.net goto account then goto user and settings. There is a link to bandwidth meter there. I just wish they had a windows 7 gadget that linked to the data usage.

Then I would take screen shots monthly. If the comcast internet security people ever call you you can have proof there is no way for you to check your usage.

I don't trust comcast's bandwidth monitor as it pushes the last two days of downloads to the next month's usage amount.  If your down loading anything on the last day of the month you might as well add that to next month's usage amount.  I use a bandwidth monitor to check all my usage from my PC.  If comcast claims I use to much I will have defense ready for that.  I never had a problem in the past with bandwidth usage using this tracking ability and I don't expect that to change.  This gives me a defense and a backup against the comcast monitor.  Also, I can see when comcast is playing games with the comcast monitor system.  Finally, days like today; when the monitoring system is down, I don't have to wait and wonder about the usage amount.

If your like me and dont have TV service and use HuLu Netflix MLB.TV GBTV and the various Networks websites to watch shows 250GB is NOT enough by far. I need 500 on average. and thats if i dont purchase any movies from ZUNE or Amazon..

I just chose Comcast as my provider through the Xbox app, it gave me a code and told me to go to hbogo.com/activate, I did so and it worked immediately. And yes, my Internet provider is Comcast.
