I cant watch a show xfinity online because it says upgrade silverlight plug in. However, I have the proper silver light plug in confirmed and running. I have restarted the computer several times, I have uniinstalled then reinstalled the silver light several times. I have refreshed the browser. When I try to play a show it says I still need to upgrade. When I clicked on upgrade silverlight from xfinity website it says the file is corrupt. Either way, I believe my silverlight is working fine as I can stream shows, movies, etc from netflix which also uses silverlight.

Completely uninstall Silverlight from your computer. Then download and install Silverlight from the link below:
Follow all the on-screen instructions and then try playing videos again. Let me know the results.

I completely uninstalled it then tried to re install the silverlight from the link you gave me. It wont install and says extraction failed due to corrupt file.

Do you have any anti-virus software installed on your computer? Using this error message appears when there is a conflict.
Try disabling your anti-virus software and then download the link above.
Let me know the results.

I have the same issue!! I have uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, and even remove the registery entries inside my Win7 and installed again but still NO LUCK. I've tried this on Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and all have same issues!
I logged into NETFLIX and no issues there.
Seems like there is some issue with XFINITY TV using the SilverLight Plugin and not registering the video playback correctly.
This is very annoying, it was working fine for me about 2 weeks ago or less.
