I am getting increasing frustrated with constantly having to call in to Comcast to figure out what is wrong with my cable box, since we upgraded to internet and DVR last year, I have been unable to get OnDemand to work(although I'm sure there's a charge for it) I'm wondering what I can do to get a new cable box that works.

comcast advertises on demand as free with subscription. What cable box do you have? you say you upgraded to internet and a dvr last year? Was your service good then? If so looks like you have a signal strength issue. 9 out of 10 times its not the box its that there are too many items or splitters on your lines degrading your signal. Have you had a tech come out to test signal stregth? If you have what do they say when they come out.

OnDemand has never worked, the Tech that set up the box came immediately back to "reset" the box, and "reset" the box from the street. I've called multiple time to the 1800#, only to have my box "reset". Still get the same error S700, which for the most part the customer service rep has no clue what code it is.I have DCT6200. I'm fairly sure it's not the signal strength, I have one line with one splitter for the box and the modem.

normally there are only a few reasons on demand does not work.
1. you have a weak signal. Do you ever see to be announced or get pixelation of your picture or sound drop offs, those are signs.
2. your account is not coded correctly for on demand, which happens often.
3. On demand is not offered in your area.

in a major area, been with "xfinity" "comcast" " monopoly" for 7 years. line has never been a problem unless some needs more money. Signal problem is not and issue. learn something different.

do I need to pay more money for on demand, which you state is included, or do I need to take time off of work to deliever my box in a different county or take time off of work for a rep. to come to my house to service my weak signal?
