Cable will not activate

I received my cable box last night.

Had to do the online activate 6 times to get a cable guide with error codes 7, and 0a00.  Went to bed, now cable dispays no picture.  tried the online activation the lights blink and do something, but then still no picture after 45 minutes.  Goto online chat, and customer service is arguing with me on how to operate my TV, which is correctly set to the HDMI channel, and the only one.  Call the customer service agent, they tried two different activation things, both times the box responded with blinking lights, but then NO picture.  call again and customer service forwards me to an automated prompt with the same results.  Can we fix this before I send this box back and get service some where else?  Then after this cable box, i can sort out the internet issues next with the wrong modem being sent....

Re: Cable will not activate

If you were sent self install kits for TV and internet and you can't get them activated, then a Comcast tech will need to come out and check the levels at each TV outlet and the connection for the modem to confirm the signals are in spec.

You didn't share if you have any Comcast service to the house or apartment, so I have to assume this is totally new service.

Contact Comcast support and they will need to send out a tech.

Re: Cable will not activate

I had just cable internet service before, and decided to upgrade to TV and Blast! Service.

Re: Cable will not activate

Then most likely  there is a trap on the drop cable that needs to be removed by a Comcast tech.  That is very common for subscribers having HSI only or HSI & limited basic and going to a full digital TV package.
