I moved recently and am trying to get all my equipment reconnected. I had one TV connected to a DTA as well as my VCR and DVD recorder. It all worked in my old house but now I'm stuck and need some help.
Here's how I have it.
Cable connections: Wall out to DVD, DVD out to VCR, VCR out to DTA, DTA out to TV
Components: DVD out to TV, VCR out to DVD
The TV works fine. When I switch the VCR or DVD to record mode, there's no TV signal anymore. I'm mainly using the VCR and DVD recorder to convert old VCR tapes over but I still want to be able to record every once in a while. Any help would be appreciated!

the cable from the wall needs to go to the dta first with the coax then to the vcr or dvd I dont know which you record with. Then you go out of that with either coax or composite cables. That will establish the tv connection.
To hook up hte vcr and dvr recorder for taping you would use whatever output is left on it and then run it to the same input most likely component on the dvr recorder.
