I ask these questions because if you are in most motorola markets you can get the anyroom dvr service which allows you to watch pre-recorded shows on your slave box in a bedroom if you have an outlet there.
If you just want cable service no dvr all you need is a cable box in the bedroom. If you want dvr service and cannot get multiroom dvr the price for two dvr's in most markets is the same as multiroom dvr. Are you in a package? Most packages include the dvr and you rent the second. If you are not in an area where multiroom is available your only option if you want two dvr's is to rent two dvr's.
