XfinityTV and Equipment

Every channel is 480i on my HD TV and I used to have HD.  the screen size is always screwed up and changes between channels.  What happened?

If it is a Motorola box or RNG110, with the Comcast remote turn off the box and press "menu", that will give you the user menu where you can reset and setup the resolutions your TV accepts.  That should get you back to normal once it's setup properly again.

no the cable box will hold the settings.

Unfortunately I found that when I turned off the cable box the settings reverted and I had to reset them.  Perhaps a new box is needed???

there is no need to turn off the box as its never off even when you turn it off, it uses the same power on or off.

I set my box to remove all the 480 and 720 settings, and it seems to hold ok now.
