Picture quality poor...

Hello,

Our picture quality has been poor on all our TVs in the last few days.  It isn't just on the TV w/cablebox, but even the ones not connected to a cablebox.  Some channels are worse than others and some are not effected at all.  I'm in the Manitowoc, WI area and would like to know if there is a problem with our local cable service.

Thanks,

Re: Picture quality poor...

Hi rog,

Yes I know, sorry about that.  I worded my post completely wrong, just wanted to find out if anyone else in my area was having the same problem.  I hate calling, never seems to get me anywhere.  I get much more help from posting on forums.

Wow, I didn't even know Comcast was in Wisconsin at all, Time-Warner, Charter and Mediacom are the big cable co's up there.   I don't think we have ever had anyone from Wisconsin posting on the forums before.

What do you mean "poor"?  Pixelation?  Any error messages on the screens?

Re: Picture quality poor...

Hello Jay,

We've had Comcast for a long time.  If I'm the only one from this area to post, then I guess wondering if anyone else is having the same problem is useless.  I'm sure Comcast is just updating or doing maintenance and that is the problem.  We have had this problem in the past more than once.  It usually takes a few days and then the problem will be gone.  The poor quality is that the picture has a very grainy look.  If this continues, I will call and report it.

Thanks,

Customer Service Robots...

Hello Everyone!!

I just got through talking to another robot, need a human that can converse with me, ask me how the weather is, something human!!  No matter what you ask they repeat the same thing over and over.  I know they are reading off a set of instructions for whatever the problem happens to be.  Now the worse part is, I can't understand them with the accent.  I know they try, but I think that is the most frustrating part of the whole ordeal.  I can deal with the call back and scheduling a tech to come to my home, but I get so frustrated when I have to keep asking them to repeat what they said.  We have so many people out of work in this country, why can't I speak to someone I can understand????

Re: Customer Service Robots...

ok so  if you call between 9-5 m-f and ask for an english speaking CR rep in the us you will be transferred to one.   after 5 or on the weekends your on your own. Your best bet believe it or not is to post your issue here where other customers know the answers.   As long as its not a specific bill question most times we can help you or escalate your issue to someone who can.   so post away

Expert Service Techs...

Hi fellow Comcast customers,

Two days ago all our TVs in our home developed a very grainy, snowy picture.  Some channels worse than others.  Some HD channels aren't even available.  Nothing is wrong with any of my equipment or connections, everything was working fine.  I called Cust Serv and waiting for callback to schedule one of their "Expert Service Techs" to come out to do what they do.

The funny thing is we have a new home in a new neighborhood and all our cable lines are underground with junctions boxes on backyard lot lines up and down the whole block.  Now here is the funny part, my husband told me he saw two techs working on one of the juction boxes at the end of our block two days ago.  Coincidence?...I think not!!  They fix one box and now ours is screwed up...so now we are sitting here watching horrible TV and who knows how long it will be until it's fixed.  We have Internet and HD service with Comcast and pay $150 plus every month.  Hope they know I expect some sort of compensation for the inconvenience when I'm paying that kind of price.

Just Venting...but if anyone feels the same, it would be nice to hear from you.

Feel your pain..  All I can add is that you remember to demand credit for all of the days that the service was unsatisfactory..
