Pixelation and "one moment please" error code S0a00 on multiple channels

I have two cable boxes in my house, a Motorola DVR and a old standard Motorola cable box. They are split at the wall. The DVR receiver will once in a while pixelate on a channel, or display the S0a00 error code but will usually tune the channel after I rock the tuner up one channel then back down. The one in the bedroom, sans DVR, will sometimes do the same. However, more often than not, it just continues to display the same error and issue. I have, at times, been down to 10 viewable channels. What is interesting is that there was an outage in the neighborhood (North Lauderdale) on Friday, 6/15 around noon and, after that outage, the issue cleared up entirely. However, it is now Saturday afternoon at 3 PM and the channel I can view in the living room is pixelating and has just gone to a dark screen over which the error code S0a)) displays. I've just contacted Comcast; a supervisor says there will be someone out on Monday 6/18 to take a look. More to come. I'd like to know if I'm alone in this issue, or if there are more of you out there. It might help Comcast to resolve the issue once and for all. This has been going on since the end of last year -- I'm eager to see it fixed.

That error indicates a signal issue to the TV outlets.  It can be outside with the drop cable, splitters, loose / corrorded / wet fittings or even upstream into Comcast's RF portion of the plant.

You need a tech out, please contact Comcast support and insist on a tech visit, it will not fix itself.  Most of the time it is very close to your home.
