In the past few days, I have encountered 3 recorded shows that froze and stopped at 3 minutes. All showed a recording time of 60 minutes. These were all recorded a couple of weeks ago.
There were several shows recorded and played fine between the first two that hung and the last one. Have watched one good show since the last one.
Have reset the DVR twice since the 1st problem
Does this sound like an isolated incident or the beginning of a problem? We are down to about 15% after months of 50-60% usage.

could be isolated, signal related.
What does this mean? are you talking about percentage of your dvr that is full? I don't understand how your trying to relate that your recording issue

Not sure, maybe trying to relate it to computer tech and defrag issues. don't understand the tech - just throwing out variables

Start by swapping the DVR at the local Comcast office, the drive might be failing. Take the remote with.

Im having the same issue and Im currently on hold with customer service. If they fix it I will write the response to include what actually fixed it.

ok i fix it while waiting . I unplugged the main plug to the back of the box and then reconnected it. now it works.lol
