For Cisco RNG200
(With Box Powered OFF, press directly on THE BOX)
VOLUME UP + DOWN at the same time You will see “HDSr” on Box Screen
To change Box resolution press arrows as follow:
Up: 480i
Left:720p
Right: 1080i
Down:480p
Wait a few seconds after selection and word “SET” will appear on Box Screen

I don't know how you know that box is an RNG 200 but for a motorola box, turn off the box, with it off press the menu button on the remote. In that screen you can set resolution to 720p.
Requirements for 3d include
3d capable tv and cable box
HDMI cable
set resolution of the box to 720 p
Have 3d account codes added to your service.

RNG200 is the model, and is printed in front of the box
I can watch 3D in 1080i resolution when 3D mode is side-by-side
