ok so here is the issue, I have a 60 lg plasma I hook up my hdmi that had been on there before (it fell out) and it fried my TV as well as my cable box. no big deal the TV is under warranty, so I decided to get my 47 Samsung plasma from my room with another cable box, same thing happens, hook up a hdmi and it fried my TV and the cable box what is going on here? I inspect the board on the cable box and you can see that it is fried at the hdmi port all the way up through a few bga's on the board, why did this happen, and who is going to pay for this? so you are not the only one with this issue, at least only one of your tvs broke.
