This issue has been happening since I got my HDDVR, no HD channel will come in and some regular channels get "Not Authorized" error. I have not yet been able to watch any HD with the exception of OnDemand. I called customer service who reset the box numerous times and they are sending out a tech today. However, the tech called me from a blocked number and my phone automatically sends those to voicemail so I never knew he/she called. The tech "completed" the ticket for no contact. I can understand techs not wanting thier number sent to customers but they should not be using a personal phone. Not to mention the fact he/she did not even bother to leave a voicemail. I have tried powering off the box for 45 minutes and changing channels back and forth as was suggested with no resolution. I do not run the cable through a surge protector and have tried more than one HDMI cable. When I threatned to cancel because of this all I got was "O.K. thank you for calling and have a nice day." as a response. Then I was transfered to the customer loyalty department which is CLOSED today and the automated system told me to call back and disconnected the call. Great empathy and concern Comcast (That's sarcasm by the way).

Finaly got this fixed. Turned out (apparently) that each call center has different codes that they add to the account in order to activate HD channels. Should the wrong code get put in that does not match the area you are in the channels will not authorize. Took many phone calls, replacing the box, changing cables and other headaches before I finally got a tech that knew what he was doing. He called me before coming out to the house and once he heard what the problem was he told me he would call back in five minutes. Three minutes later the HD channels came on and 5 minutes later he called as promised. Issue resolved.

Go to Amazon.com and buy this $32 signal booster:
"4 Port Cable TV/HDTV/Digital Amplifier Internet Modem Signel Booster Internet Amp."
This will cure your problems without the hassle of a service call.
Use a 75 ohm resistor cap on any unused terminals.
Your internet modum cable should probably not be amplified as it may not work.
But some have reported that their modum does works with the boosted signal.
I use a two way splitter before the signal booster with an un-boosted signal going to my modum.
This signal booster eliminated all pixelization, audio problems, black screens and comcast error s0a00 codes on three HDTVs.
